To this day I still can't forgive my mother for what she did and I still haven't forgiven my real father who ever he is
I have tried to teach my Children that forgiveness is not for the offender, it's for you, so you can break free of it and move forward. On a spiritual note, Christ said "Come and Follow me" In order to "follow", you have to take a step forward. You cannot follow if you're standing still.

Love this. Forgiveness was not easy for me. AT. ALL. But then I started praying for those who had hurt me. Meanwhile I could hardly pronounce their names without puking in my mouth. And the more I did it, the easier it got. And I am seeking forgiveness myself. And God has already LONG forgiven me.
So who am I to decide who gets forgiveness and who does not? I made amends to those I had wronged. And I didn't do it so they'd like me or forgive me. I did to free myself from hanging onto years and years of resentment toward them all.
I also owned each and every part I played in those situations. This changed my whole attitude and outlook on life. It's never been the same since. Amen 🙏 ❤
