@@MeansToTravel The Van Gogh Museum exceeded my expectations when I went during one of my visits. Highly recommend even if you're not really into art. It's an amazing museum.
I love Amsterdam and it's great that you emphasised how many interesting things there are to see and do, not just the red light district and the coffee shops. I've spoken to so many people who just ask me about those! (I've never been to either, not from any moralistic stance but because there were so many other places, like the museums and the canals that I wanted to explore)
I’m the same way! I’ve found that many people look surprised when I tell them how much I LOVE Amsterdam, since I’m not the type to personally do anything scandalous. 😆 For that reason, I’d love to do my part to build stronger awareness of all of the wonderful cultural experiences that Amsterdam offers visitors! What was your favorite Amsterdam activity when you visited?
@@MeansToTravel I love the Anne Frank House, I've been 3 times (on 3 different trips) I read her diary as an impressionable young teen so naturally had to see the house the first time I went to Amsterdam. The poignancy of even seeing the pictures of the movie stars of the day she glued to the walls of the annex really struck me how she was a typical young teen. I also love the canals, I would point out I've only visited in summer months so I get the nice weather and trees with leaves on!
Amsterdam is high on our travel bucket list! All of that food looks delicious (besides maybe the pickled herring lol). Thanks for sharing things to try out and do while visiting! -Candice, Andrew, and Riley 🐾
You've put together a great guide to Amsterdam. We too have been many times and always enjoy our time there. We might add that canal tour is something that you would like to do. You hit all the right spots in this video. 👍 Eliz, hope everything is going well with your pregnancy. Boy or Girl ? No, don't tell us haha . Derek, how are you doing? And we might add, do venture outside of Amsterdam to places like Utrecht , Rotterdam or Le Hague. Love you guys❤❤ from Jim, Harriet and Yuki
Thanks so much guys! That’s great you’ve been able to visit many times as well! Great point about the canal tours - those are great!!! Do you have a favorite thing you like to do when you visit Amsterdam? And totally agree that there are so many fun and easy day trips from Amsterdam, with lots of other wonderful Dutch cities to explore!
Oh and Derek is going well and is very excited for the baby. We will probably share the gender before the birth, but we haven’t figured out exactly how we want to just yet 😉

Hopefully we can go back and visit again together next time! 😃
Great video, Eliz! I absolutely love Amsterdam and have been a few times myself (before I started my travel channel). It’s such a cool place!
It sure is! Hopefully you’ll get back there sometime again for your channel! What was your favorite thing you did in Amsterdam?
