Jelly Roll is very open about his past. At 16 years old he was charged and convicted of a felony and was in and out of prison for years until he found out he had a daughter . He is married to Bunnie XO and together they are raising his daughter. He is so funny , humble and an activist trying to help juveniles . He started out rapping, then rock, and now country . He has a beautiful voice.
Jelly Roll's life is a redemption story. Very real, very raw, and quite inspiring. I urge you to listen to more of his catalog.
Even though he is known for his rapping skills , i'm so glad he found his singing voice & i like the fact that his latest album features this voice. Great emotional , raw truth song.

I had never heard of him & last fall I went to 3 Shinedown concerts & he was their opening act. I was blown away
