The problem is getting a job that pays a living wage. I know that you work incredibly long hours, and I greatly admire you for that. However, most people can't do that, because they would get burned out in a relatively short period of time. That concept may not exist in your world, but it's true. People have nervous breakdowns from doing that. It's a serious issue, and I once witnessed my mother have one. She couldn't even pick up the phone to call her parents to come and get her. When she asked my father to make the call for her, all he did was yell at her, saying what do you mean you can't pick up the phone. I despise Vladimir Lenin, but there are two good things that he did. One was to reduce the workday to 8 hours, and made it mandatory, so people would no longer be forced to work 10 or 12 hours a day. The other was to institute a program to bring electricity to the entire country.

Both of my parents died before Christmas, and I was the last one to talk to them before they died, my dad at 7 and my mom at 10, I never got over it.
