Surprised to see you got stamp face grills Jim coming from you.
I don’t agree with high merv for comfort cooling even though the commercial side is basically geared towards that cause of the pandemic. I really like those filters cause of the guard for the bypass.

We in the Netherlands are always amazed, on your filters systeem. but our filter system has a pressure guard at the front and back. As soon as it is dirty, the filter roll automatically replaces it.Replacement of the role once every 5 years

How do you seal the hole you poked in the filter media? Also, these are quite price filters for just the addition of some foam

Disappointing...Filters are for the equipment not the people in the building. If people request this type of filtering address that. High merv filtering unnecessarily stresses the equipment.

Filters can definitely be used for the people they just must be designed to do so. Typically systems require about 2 times the surface area normally allotted. Keep the filter face velocity down between 250-300 FPM and you can use a much higher MERV filter without any problems.
