Most important is financial data showing you have income to support yourself. Anything else is deportation period.

Hi, after my 2 years greencard expired (my spouse is US citizen) ,I was approved for 18 months extension, which will expire on November 2021, but I haven't received any further response, also I've applied for my naturalization been one month, now if I get separated from my spouse or divorce and move to different state is there any possibility to get denied for both greencard and naturalization? Thank you

If you get separated and you are called in for interview you just need to honest about it, in most cases i-751 pull through with out an interview . But if divorce occur before the approval of i-751 you need to let USCIS know by filing to convert your jointly filed i-751 to induvial filing otherwise it will affect you during naturalization.

I am US citizen. I married Filipina on K1 Visa in sept 2020. We were both physically in Michigan at ceremony, it was done online via zoom by officiant and witnesses physically in Utah. Michigan says we are not married as far as Michigan is concerned because all parties to ceremony were not physically in Michigan at time of ceremony. If so, i think immigration also will void our marriage. Is this so? Thank you

Hello and thanks for the information. I would like to know what happens with the 10 yr visa. My soon to be ex husband used me for a GC as well. I’ve been trying to instigate a class action lawsuit and plea for the laws to change. He was Jamaican and got the 10 yr not the 2 year. He enjoyed my money and we never lived together more than 3 months. He’s doing well in NV and gave me his ass to kiss after he got his needs met. I’m also working on a book series and hope to get others onboard to tell our stories of hurt and betrayal.

My wife seems to have been planning things this way all along as well. She is the immigrant, and it wouldn't surprise me if this was her plan all along. Far too many immigrants actually use this against the person providing for them. They have an attitude of, "you are responsible for me," and "if you don't give me everything I want, I will just divorce you, take half your shit, and in the meantime, you can pay for everything as well." It is almost worse than marrying another citizen and they steal half your shit because they were married to you.

The immigrant does not "work hard for their green card." The sponsor/citizen does. Where are the videos of advice for the citizen? No offense to you, specifically, but when did everyone start putting immigrants before citizens?

And what do you know about it? I worked very hard to get my green card. I got educated here in the United States, and paid out of pocket. I paid for a immigration attorney, which cost ME thousands of dollars. I have been paying into this country without getting any benefits at all for almost 10 years. I had to prove that I am of good character and that I won’t be a burden to society. There is a lot you have to do to become a permanent citizen. Unless you have gone through the process yourself, I would think about throwing your opinion around, which honestly sounds a tad xhenophobic. The citizen will remain a citizen no matter what. If you were simply born here, you didn’t actually do anything to earn it, but immigrants do.

I just bought my husband seven years ago and already he cheated and had a baby on our marriage and now he’s trying to leave me and not do anything for me after I spent almost $10,000 or more to bring him here so we suffer as well.
