Household savings is that an all time low. Household debt and the delinquency on that debt are at record highs. Auto repos are also at record highs. 70% of the US economy is consumer spending and the consumer is getting crushed. It’s amazing how so-called Economists can completely ignore the most critical data points.
Pick and choose only the data that supports what you want to believe.
Our economy struggling with uncertainties, housing issues, foreclosures, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.
Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, and other powerful nations waking up to trade in their own currencies. Good thing is, a lot of people still turn to the Dollar because of the safety is somehow assures. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of these factors and more. Where else can we keep our money?

Yeah, as long as you got money, the economy is doing well. But for 3/4 of the economy of people who don’t make that great of money the economy is doing poorly. For a bright and intelligent person this guy shows his ignorance.

Yes, there is absolutely no debt talk about living in a bubble. It is easy to spend when it is borrowed without the intention of paying it back. This guy should go and visit the worst places in the country and see how the poorest people's economy is doing maybe take a good long look at the people trying to survive on part time work with not even enough to pay the bills or rent a place to live.
