- I review the newly released Nike Zoom Pegasus 37. I also compare the peg 37 to the Nike vomero 14 due to the confusion I and other had on how this shoe was supposed to be different. The shoes are closely related and if you are looking for a new shoe the Nike zoom vomero 14 may be a better deal because its older, on sale, and has many of the perks that the Nike pegasus 37 has. I’ve always read about transitioning from traditional running shoes to minimals but I am in the opposite situation.
I received a Nike Pegasus 37 as a gift and for the first time in more than a decade, I’ve tried wearing a traditional running shoe. My usuals are minimalist shoes and my thickest shoe would be the Nike Free 5.0.
Having used the Pegasus for a few times, I’ve noticed heel discomfort on one foot. I’m not sure if it’s coincidence, or my foot not being used to the large stack height and drop of the shoe.
Any thoughts on this? Because you did mention some foot pain initially.
Yeah my foot pain came from the shoes not being fully broken in. Usually it's not a good idea to start running in shoes right when you get them. It's better to walk the shoes and wear them for a few days depending on how long you wear them. This is to get the shoe to form better to your foot rather than your foot succumbing to the form of the shoes form in the factory.

My Peg 37 run a half size larger that my 35's FYI
very interesting. went back and tried on my vomero 14s, peg 35 turbos, peg 35s, and peg 37s just now and they all, generally speaking, had the recommended thumbnails length in front of my big toe. The half-size larger difference could be within the room for error for the fit of someone's foot to not cause lasting discomfort compared to something that fits a half size small. Still annoying that we really can't go in and try them on before we buy. thanks for the feedback.
What about just walking in them?
@@leonblack751 I'd say they are also really good for walking. I wore these a few times walking around campus and they felt great.
