      Nice! Did you use cuttings to start the 200 plants? I'm getting four potted plants on order, different varieties. Good luck!

      I purchased my cuttings through the State Forestry Division. They were extremely affordable and arrived very healthy.

    In a backyard garden setting, do you recommend 1 or more vertities for cross pollination. Do you need more then one plant for pollination or is elder a self pollinator?

    • @riverhillsharvest2412
      @riverhillsharvest2412 2 года назад +2

      We are discovering now that multiple varieties are beneficial in pollination for certain varieties. We would recommend having two varieties or more.

    I bought 9 cuttings from river hill I put them in a one gallon pot and watered they grew leaves and after two months I planted them on the ground they did really good until the July central Texas scorching sun killed them all now I don’t know where to plant them because I’m trying again I have five well rooted plants right now in solo cups that have to be planted because the roots are starting to come out I’m just afraid to lose them again. What advise can you give me do I have a better chance to plant them now (September)in same area since they have good roots and will have more time to strength before next years June and July scorching sun? Thank you
