The landlocked nation of Tajikistan is the poorest country in Central Asia. The mountainous landscape is unforgiving, the temperatures extreme. Desperate truck drivers often wait for days for a job to transport cargo across the dangerous land. Needless to say, the equipment is old, shoddy: trucks are old and hands on craftsmanship is essential. Macgyvering is a must. Forget about suspension, these trucks shake the drivers to the bone, while dodging falling rocks, watching out for potential landslides, and sleeping two hours at a time to make sure the engines don’t freeze. What makes these silent superheroes do it? Families, loved ones who they want to provide for. All contribute: the families waiting weeks on end for their loved ones to return home safely to the kickass drivers braving unimaginable hardships to get the job done. We’ve got the epitome of deadliest roads in Tajikistan, and kickass personified in these Tajik long distance drivers. Enjoy. And be happy with what you’ve got. Available Worldwide #freedocumentary

Some of us are so lucky to be born in a developed country where we can provide good living for our families. Anyone of us could have been born in a 3rd world country and struggle our whole life just to survive. It all comes down to where you were born.
@mike smith Are you kidding me?. I was bringing up my family for $7.75 an hour at the end of the 90's and early 2000's working at a gas station while I was going to flight school. I had a wife and 3 kids to bring up on my wage and i was paying for a loan, apartment, utilities, car payment and regular everyday things and yes it was hard, for almost 3 years i worked my butt off, but it doesn't come even close to the life people live in 3rd world countries where they bring up a family of 4 or 5 on $1 or $2 dollars a day. I worked in Botswana as a bush pilot for 2 years to build up flight hours before going to a major airline and i seen kids dying because they had no food. Every few days i would fly kids to the hospital because they were dying from starvation, some made it and some didn't. In the UK or US if you're struggling you can at least get some benefits or go to a food bank and they will give you food, while in 3rd world countries you have zero such options, if you don't get some money or food you simply die. In first world countries we have so many opportunities to choose from for your career while in 3rd world countries you don't have these choices because parents can't even afford school for their children, even with school there is hardly any opportunities, that is the reason people are literally drowning in oceans just to get to a 1st world country. Just tell me this how many kids have you ever heard of dying from starvation in a 1st world country?. Non, right because 1st world countries won't let a child die from starvation they have options. While thousands of children die every day in 3rd world countries from starvation. You have not seen struggling until you have lived in a 3rd world country. People from a 3rd world country would walk through fire just to live in London and make 11.50 an hour, for them that's a dream.

These are really good. I also liked ‘Ice Road Truckers Deadliest Roads Pakistan,’ because the US and Canadian drivers were in utter fear and shock at the danger of these roads. One very experienced Canadian driver,Alex, simply quit and went home, and he had been on many hairy ice roads. These local drivers must have nerves of stone to constantly drive these roads.
Once I saw that route, I just thought, NO. Then I started watching, and it’s now Hell’s NO. Props to these brave people. Humans are something else. Finding ways to rise above challenges

@Dank Dank even then
These beautiful documentaries are like history, geography, culture, nature, lessons all rolled in one...thanks for this
Im already in love with Central Asia and this documentary is gem for that.
I didn't have time to watch the entire documentary, but I thoroughly enjoyed the translator and the skill with which he used the first person singular. The difference between narrating and translating is crucial. I'm a translator and I know how articulate You need to be with language. You had all of your reflexive pronouns in order. Such a dangerous Road to travel and Translate
I met many tajik people in Russia..they are humble and warm with clean heart..
My Sunday Favourite thanks for taking me across the Globe free..and exploring all these amazing culture
This people look more happy then most people that I know..Maybe they my not have a lot of money..So what?! But they are a living proof..that humans can be nice to each other and live happy without fortunes on your bank account..Just living a simple life. RESPECT

Love the camera 📸 crew, truck 🚛 driver, you are the hero of your family May God protect you always. Thanks so much for this documentary, I love to travel and you have simplified it for me. Love from Uganda
This has to be the best documentary in RUclips
This is real stuff. It gives true inside picture of places and you realise you still don't know things. Salute to you guys.
It reminds me of my wedding in Morocco but much more people and the huge meal before and it lasted for days! the contract is what's important you have the traditional wedding and then you sign the contract. He was Muslim I was Christian and that was fine with everybody. Moroccans are extremely tolerant and everybody was happy for us. :-)
Not the other way around. If you want to marry a muslim moroccan girl you have to surrender to the Islam, and convert...
these are not just documentaries but life lessons! great work FD! thanks!
Love these documentaries... 😊
Good. That’s the objective 😀
@@FreeDocumentary Why is the quality lower on these newer ones? No good source?

I can feel the cold watching this from my couch...And that little coal fireplace would need at least 5 like that to keep me warm...For sure their body temperature resiliency is insane like the Siberian
This is so sad.And here we are in the West with all the comforts of life, complaining for more!
I know right? The problem in the west is we have no problems 😊 at least nothing to cry about.
@The hero we deserve what happen to you ?
These documentaries are the best, love them
/interesting/informative/entertaining. Excellent motion photography pictures 📷 enabling viewers to better understand what the orator was describing. Video crew did a very professional job. Special thanks to veteran drivers/road crews sharing personal information/travel . Making this documentary more authentic and possible.
Oh my gosh, it takes a lot of patience in order to survive. God bless this place.
Amazing Channel really. You show us the real world that we do not get to see anywhere. Its a blessing to get to see the remote areas and learn from people hard daily life in order to make a living. This should make is appreciate what we've got. Great work. All respect and blessings.

Much Love and Respect to the people of Tajikistan from Honolulu Hawaii🤙🏾. I love to see how they all pull together to help one another. Something we could learn here in the western world. Unity and Love are power and true wealth! ☯️❤️
There is so much to be grateful for, just open your eyes.
Best narrator ever hope to hear more from him
Another road, another adventure and danger, another way of life in the harsh, yet the beautiful snowy mountains of Tajikistan.
Incredible land, incredible people. These mountain truckers are really smart and resouseful.
