Some might hate me for saying this but Indian singers do not need autotunes. We have world's best singers of every age group. We'll forget about k-pop they are that good with out autotune. Let's feel proud that we have so so many legendary singers in our country❤❤
No hate for you as it is true. No other singers can match the level of sophistication to BHARTIYE singers.
#Southern India and #Bengal produce true singers because they learn the classical singing which give them versatility and pure soul touching sounds ❤❤❤
true, singing no other country can beat India
Why would anyone hate u for saying the truth... We Indians have a habit to ape other's culture. Unfortunately we don't appreciate our incredible talents.
@@jihadiaffairs1198lol i think you should hear foreigners singing in multiple voices !!!
Mate, he’s been singing for at least 4 decades. He’s a legend!
correction 5 decades
That's the unfortunate reality. Our greatest gems remained undiscovered to the world for ages. Imagine..AR Rahman getting Grammy and Oscar for Slumdog millionaire. The world missed out on hearing Roja, Thiruda Thiruda, Dil Se, Taal and so many others. And as for great singers like Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Chitra, Kavita Krishnamurthy and so many others..not to mention the GOATs like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle , Rafi and Kishore!
Honestly…. There is a bigger world out there. Always has been :)
Yes, Indians have native talent for singing! I am no Indian, but I enjoy Hindi and Carnatic music, once in a while!
Exactly my thoughts. He is listening to the legend and Hariharan jis singing career is more than his parents age😂
He is just speaking... He hasn't started singing... Hariharan's voice and real performance is like a cool wind hitting you gently but bringing goosebumps❤
@abhimanyuinjeti5326 Perfect description. You said it so well that here actually he was just talking and did not sing. In this song, there is hardly any touch of Hari Harans Master skill. He is way way too skilled. This person Justin should get fainted if Hari Haran starts doing his magic with unbelievable twists (Sangathis).
@@sivaramana2 power of hariharan ji! Two great singers are SPB and Hariharan ji... Hariharan ji is extremely agile.. all thanks to hours and hours of singing ghazals...
Wow man, seriously, that's the best way to describe this. He isn't even singing yet.
@@zeeshan0987 listen to hariharan songs brother.. you will understand why I said that he hasn't even sung in this performance.. he is extreme talent!
🤣🤣🤣👍👍
I don’t understand Why these type of songs are not made nowadays. These are masterpieces
Because A.R. Rahman is not as prolific as he used to be
New generation...
Arr got western influenced . He s sustaining with his fame and access to great musicians and singers.
Because Mani Ratnam not making such kind of movies now
They make woke songs like Jai Ho to win useless Oscar! 😂
That crystal clear voice at that age is just another level of talet ... Hes a legend ❤️ ...
He made me cry!
This is 30 yrs old song and so soothing..❤
Hariharan is an amazing Ghasal, Hindustani, Bollywood, Tamil singer. Please react to more of his songs ❤❤❤❤❤
@justin : You have to search more.. there are many singers in India outside of trending few.
I don't like high-pitched male voices. They don't sound like male to me. I, too, like the contrast between male and female voices in duets. They convey the feelings so much and are pleasing to ears.
Indians should not forget basics and get carried away by fancy new crazes just because they are viral.
Rakshana is runner up(not even winner) in annual talent hunt reality show in one of the 28 states of the country. So think of the number of singers. But some of them don't continue and go to other jobs as they get enough opportunities.
He sang beautiful songs in telugu as well :)
I stopped listening to English music for almost 30 years from 1983 to 2012. I went deep into Indian music. No regrets whatsoever.
Yess as someone doing the same, do you have an suggestions on where to start?
Try the berklee indian ensembles covers of indian songs. I think youll fall in love@evangeldavis1060
@@evangeldavis1060for popular movie songs you can check out lata mangeshkar songs and ar Rahman songs if you want to dive deep check Tamil old songs by spb,s Janaki and illayaraja. If i have to say the best out there is Malayalam the old songs are of extraordinary level just check out songs by kj yesudas. Now if you want to get into classical there are two types either carnatic or hindustani both are awesome for carnatic check out devotional songs by Ms subbalashmi.

Hariharan stands out as a rare gem among similar voices, often causing confusion among devoted musicians when he performs on stage. Remarkably, he delivers the same song differently in various microtones across ten different stage renditions, showcasing remarkable variations. His repertoire spans across India in multiple languages, including Hindi and Tamil, as evidenced in this timeless song. The Tamil rendition features Hariharan and KS Chitra, while the Hindi version showcases Hariharan and Kavita Krishnamoorthy. Missing out on Hariharan's songs means missing some of the most cherished vocal memories in the world. Eagerly anticipating further reactions to Hariharan.
Dude doesn't realise the singers are switching between tamil & hindi which makes it even harder...both are not native hindi speakers ☺️
I don't think he is listening to languages , but music is the only thing he listen to
Hari is a Tamil basically, mann
A Velvet like voice with which he can do anything and everything.... That's the legend Hariharan for you ❤
He is a legend. Hats off to him and the legendary A. R. Rahman ( on the piano). Hope you get the pleasure of ever listen to them live. So much emotion. Brings out goosebumps everytime and you are transported to somewhere beautiful. 👏
Dont forget the female voice
That girl's name is rakshita. She is a contestant (runner up) from tamil reality show (super singer). She is extremely talented and versatile! An emerging talent!
Hariharan had a band called Colonial Cousins and they have done a live gig at MTV Unplugged in US back in the day when it was a thing. I was fortunate to watch them do the same set live at Hard Rock Cafe Singapore on their way back to India.
Hariharan fan here from Malaysia..his voice and skills are majestic..❤❤❤
#Southern India and #Bengal produce true singers because they learn the classical singing which give them versatility and pure soul touching sounds ❤❤❤
Right👌
What ever u saying is right Indian 10 singers are mostly South Indians like
Susheela amma
Janaki amma
Chitra amma
Vanijayram amma
Shreya Goshal mam
Sadhana sargam
Kavitha Krishna murthi
@@satyareddy2325 brother Shreya ghosal is bengali and I mentioned Bengali too. Kaushiki Chakraborty(bengali), search her songs on RUclips and just listen, you'll get mesmerized. 🙏

Also, looks like you have “forgotten” Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Anuradha Poudwal! Really need to broaden your base!
Hey Justin, I can feel you bro, that it took you so long getting introduced to HARIHARAN SIR, I have had the privilege to listen to him live. Trust me Justin, HE IS AMAZING. Please listen to his live performances, he has a record of never repeating a song in any of his live performances and he can sing a song in 100 styles differently.
I don't understand how Hariharan can be so so under-popular. I won't say underrated bcz I know any1 who listened to him once will be forever a fan.
Because class and mass are inversely proportional 😊
@@chhoom So trueee
Yes Right he is very underrated and Kumar Saanu is so overrated
Justin, I had the God given opportunity to mix his audio in many cities in the US. I had the opportunity to hear his rehearsals/sound checks. Amazing guy. Thank you for recognizing his immense talent.
All of Hariharan sir’s songs are amazing. He sings Ghazals and he sang a lot of AR Rahman. The movie Bombay songs, Udaya Udaya, all of them are extraordinary. His gamakas/ riffs are so easy flowing like a river. He is blessed with an amazingly expressive voice.
Most Indian artists are trained very well in classical music at a very young age. That’s the perfection we hear
THERE ARE LAKHS OF FANTASTIC INDIAN VOACLIST. KEEP TRACKING. YOU WILL ENJOY MANY OF THEM
India has great talent overall. I’m proud to be Indian ❤Thank you for acknowledging & appreciating this amazing talent 🙏
Hariharan is just amazing. He will sing one song in so many different ways every time you watch his live and all of those versions will be fantastic 😍 Please check out his older live performances. You will not regret it.
I am so glad you are reacting to him now 😭😭😭 i was waiting for this moment from last 2 years ...he is very underrated artist ...
Hariharan ... is legendary ... India has so many great classically trained singers that reaches so far back in time that will blow your mind. He also one of those indian artist that have done collaborative work with groups from the UK and the western genre ... check out "Colonial Cousins" album.
He is one of our best singers that we ever witnessed. He is a legend, none other than Mr Hariharan 🙏. Blessed to have him
Came out 27 years ago.. song still captivating... ARR / Hariharan / Chitra still evergreen
"Where has he been ?" He was always in India dude. You should take a trip to India to listen to all the beautiful singers. India has a ocean of talent, especially in Music. Respect to Mr. Hariharn sir. One of my all time favourites. This song is an all time classic. Can't get enough of it.
He isn’t just a talent; he’s Hari Haran-the LEGEND. We aren’t even close to being qualified to comment on his performance, period!
Just imagine the talent on the one stage @Justin Burke.. with A R Rahman simply sitting on the piano.. and the others doing their own parts..
He is a legend ..he is on the same lavel of Shankar mahadevan ..pls do check out more of him
He is senior to Shankar Mahadevan and better than Shankar Mahadevan that even SM sir would wholehearted agree. 😊
Sir..He is better than Shankar Mahadevan..It's a fact..pls admit it..even Shankar Mahadevan would admit that
@@AdvAarifMohammedS yeah 💯 ..same goes for me ..he is favourite of mine too .. I dnt want to compare these legends ..hope u get my point 🙏🏻
Yup. All are legends. Indian music has been gifted with these immense talents...
Who in their right senses would find hariharan Ji's voice comparable to Shankar mahadevan, even though Shankar is also great.
Man, Hariharan is well established well known bollywood flim playback singer given many Bollywood hits and personal album songs including this one. Listen to his other songs just type Hariharan songs and you will have it. He is a south indian but has made great contribution to South Indian and Bollywood both flim industries in terms of music. He has sung songs in many regional Indian languages and reginol language flims specially Tamil, Hindi, Telagu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati,Punjabi, Bengoli and other widely spoken Indian State languages. Also react to "S.P. Balasubramaniam". Unfortunately he recently passed away. He is another legend in Bollywood and South Indian flim industry as he is still alive in our hearts through is fabulous vocals and his famous songs.
Hariharan is a legend.. he doesn't need music.. his voice is enough.
The lyrics though add to the beautiful performance.
She is one of the finalist in Super Singer show....He is The Legendary Tamil singer Hariharan with thousand of songs . He and S.P.B sir are the two Greatest singers in Tamil cinema
Indian cinema..not only in tamil
That is the strength of Indian classical Music 🙏
This is not classical , it’s ghazal
This song is based on Raag Mishra Charukeshi which is one of the beautiful and popular classical ragas for light music. All songs though in different modes are ultimately based on classical ragas of Indian music either Hindustani or Karnataki.
Also they sang in 2 very different languages moving from one to the other seamlessly. Hariharan has been singing for decades dude!
An incredible thing is they're switching between two languages in the middle of a verse and it's so smooth..
Dude..where's he been? Hariharan is a legend. He is primarily into Ghazal singing and south indian music industry, but everyone knows him, he is an idol throughout india
Hari haran is a legend. Watching him since 90's
He is so amazing singer. We Respect lots. He is the living legend.....
This legend is singing this song in two very different Indian languages on a same time.
The music of India and Cricket unites us more than anything else...
Huge Love for my south people from North (Punjab)...
The Beauty of Music is that it has no Language, Borders, Culture
He is the leading.singer in South india during 1993 to for about 10 years.
That Female Singer is From Tamil Nadu and She came from a reality Show Super Singer few years back.
U should listen to this song in its studio version or the album version, the high note u were waiting for is right there in that version of the song
I love your reaction. You know what music is. You do not make videos just for the views, you enjoyed music from your heart. Love from Bharat India
He's old now. When he's young it's on different level
Same with SPB

He is a living Legend! The one n only Hari Ji ❤❤❤
This is one of The best indian song. And he is one of the authentic singer ❤️
Thank you for doing this! Goosebumps.... So so brilliant
They both sang in two languages- Hindi and Tamil
They’re also seamlessly switching between two languages along with all the voice gymnastics. Just amazing.
Well, India also has a long list of original melodious singers. I'd also request you to please hear an old song of 1976 Hindi movie "Julie" which is still very popular-- "My heart is beating". It's an English song sung beautifully by Preeti Sagar, music composed by Rajesh Roshan. By the way, this was also musical debut of Rajesh Roshan who won national award for this song. Please hear that song available on youtube.
The switch from Tamil to Hindi and Hindi to Tamil. WOW!!!!!!
Even basic classical singing might sound astonishing to the westerners...they have hardly had any taste of this amazing side of art
Hariharanji is incomparable to any other singer. He is one of a kind. A rare jewel with a melodious voice. Attended his recent concert in Penang. Long live Hariji!
His songs are one of my favorite 😌
Hariharan is a legend . He is also a classical music maestro, that's why he sings this way.
Happy New Year Sir🙏 want more of Hariharan Ji.. 🙏
Hay Rama Yeh Kya Hua from Rangeela please. That's also an A R Rahman composition
What a voice and singing Hariharan sir.Thnaks for the reaction, you can also check K.J. Yasudas and S.P. Balasubramaniam they are wonderful singers .both are world record holders. Just search the details. I can say that they are diamonds

Agreed, Justin should check out "mannil intha kadal" by SPB!
And the coach would be blown away if he learns about the ease with which he switches two very different Indian languages and two different musical traditions of India ..
The girl is Rakshitha , she took part in a contest called super singer and was a finalist in that contest..
Hariharan is another legendary singer. I suggest to listen his album, "Gazals by Hariharan". Specially "the reflections."
You need to listen to Hariharan sir & Sujata mam 'Hai rama' live performance...
Don't miss it...
I watched this concert live in expo 2020 Dubai ..❤❤he sung in two different languages.. we were cheering while singing in Tamil ❤️🤩🎉
Please react to more hariharan and AR Rahman songs , their combo is off the charts❤
Hariharan is a LEGEND!
This song takes me right back to taking road trips with my parents 30 something years ago!
Please react to more Tamil songs
You'll find much more gems ❤
Specially hariharan with ar rahman
The amount of practise that a classically trained singer does in learning Hindustani classcical is mindblowing. The intricacies of Hindustani classical music are much more nuanced than what westerners are used to listening. People mistakenly believe it is his voice that does the magic but it is the sheer amount of hard work that he put in practicing classical music that allows him to move up and down the scale so effortlessly.
Yeah ....amazing voice ❤
The singer Hariharan...The legend in himself..he is 69 years old but still spot on....I request you to Please react to "Nahi samne" from the movie Taal sung by Hariharan @justinburke
Hey JB , please react to Indian song "Tere hawale". It is such a good song . Please

Hey ..Its an early 90s song composed by none other than Rahman Sir. Hariharanji is a legendary singer of 90s.
there is an older version of this same song sung live by Hariharan and Legendary Chitra. Its on another level of celestial. A musician like you must hear it. The queen of precision in Indian singer is non other than Chitramma in my opinion. link below.

She is Rakshitha from a Reality TV show. She is an amazing singer. You should listen to her other songs too
If you're really looking for good high notes then you should definetly react on song "Mere Dholna" original version. I guaranteed that You'll be amazed! 😊
The way Justin genuinely enjoys the music is as beautiful as the lilting music itself.
How about K S Chithra ji mam you should react to her songs and you'll get addicted ❤❤
She is a legend beyond legend ❤❤❤
It's Hariharan. Even AR Rahman becomes spellbound when he is in a flow.
Good Indian singers are made so because of the amount of classical training, practice and riyaz they have done. That's why these legends don't need auto tune. Proud of them.
It is from Tamil Music Director AR Rahman Sir. One of the Legends, another legend is Ilaiyaraja Sir
There’s a type of Indian music called “ Gazal” and hariharan is a trained Gazal singer. He has always been here but the world is discovering him now. And we are all here for it.
The fun part is that this song was originally made in Tamil and then dubbed to Hindi. In this video you watched, he switched back n forth effortlessly between those two language versions of the song.
She is young artist, but very talented. He is a legend, one of India's greatest singers, an idol to many generations of Indian singers. For her to be matched with him on such a large stage, with the equally legendary AR Rahman as well, must have been incredibly nerve racking, yet she performed flawlessly. These are the makings of a great singer, so I have no doubt her future will be bright. As for Hariharan, there is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said, so I just sit back and have my mind blown once again, despite already having heard him so many times, it never gets old.
Hariharan has been killing it even before you were born buddy. Glad that you got to listen at least now. Don't tell me that you don't know the man who created that masterpiece.
Whenever I listen to this song it makes me cry.
This is Hari Haran, a gazal, hindustan and carnatic trained singer. He is one of the best in India. Listen to Vennileve Vennileve by him, you will love it in terms of vocals, direction and dance
Am sure Justin got to learn and admire music across the globe. It only improves one’s capabilities when ego is diminished. God be with you brother ❤
❤being a musician since 15 years, I sometimes feel bad when people celebrate some masterpiece so late😢
That’s the beauty of Carnatic music so strong in basics and put emphasis on pitch voice coordination almost every topic you want to discuss here Jason
The flute piece literally makes your eyes moist... Missing someone terribly... 🥺🥺🥺
these voices give me goosebumps just listening to the melodious songs... its so indian... this is hariharan when hes old... you should have heard this song when younger...
Decades and decades have passed, but hariharan is still the same . Magical melodious mesmerizing voice . Everyone melts after hearing this masterpiece. Ofc AR Rehman, musicians everyone 👏👏👏👏
Mate it is astonishing to see that you’re surprised that not a note has been missed…. In Carnatic, Sufi and Hindustani art forms we practice so long day and night, to maintain the correct Shruthi and Thala. You need to listen to us just singing plain music called the aalapana. It’s where we don’t use words but just describe music in its purest form the raaga. So lots of talent ain’t coming out of India. You are just discovering India welcome to our ancient land.
