FreedomMori well no, in the manga he had no idea he was at such a disadvantage and so only in his last few moments he realized “oh shit I’m going to die.” When Android 17 told him he was using only 50 percent of his power.
First time watched this scene with my cousin, I swear the room was silent. I was crying and so was everyone else. This scene just gave that feeling, where you were into it. By far one of the best scenes in Dragon Ball
This is probably the most well deserved SSJ transformation in DBZ. Trunks lost everything. He never knew his father, his world was destroyed by foes he could do nothing against, and then finally Gohan, his friend, his mentor, one of the only remaining people he had left in his life died. The pain of loss, the rage of his helplessness, it all pushed him passed that barrier he needed to break. This is how you do SSJ transformations. Not getting threatened, not getting insulted, not a tingly feeling, not fear of being left behind. Pure unbridled rage and sorrow is how you do it
This is awesome but Goku's still takes top spot for me. Sounds really obvious I know but there is something so iconic about it after him watching his best friend get blown up and then Goku, such a pure hearted person, feeling that much anger.
Goku you were the first we saw to transform and it was awesome, vegeta your's was brutal, gohan, your's was inspiring. But future trunks, your transformation hit home.
"It's not fair..." is the line that gets me. Every kid has this moment of realization but to have to learn that life isn't fair because of an experience with death is truly cruel.

@@joegastly6166 well he didn't really experience this sudden birst of emotion past super Saiyan 1 and the main timeline Gohan was significantly stronger then this Gohan and it's easier to transform when your body can easily handle it due to your increased strength. "This just isn't fair!" is a great line. It doesn't just show anger, but also helplessness, which is exactly the situation here. Even when he slams the ground after transforming. It shows Trunks isn't in a vengeful mindset there, only a despairing one.
I think Gohan suffered the most. That life is all Trunks knew, but Gohan had to watch as all his friends died knowing that out of all the battle, this was the one fight they couldn't win.
I think Chi chi suffered the most. She literally lost both her husband and her son and had to live depressed like that with no way of getting them back
I think bulma suffered the most not only did she have special bonds with all the z fighters they all died and the only person left was gohan which was like a son to her Ik his death hit home really hard for bulma probably as hard as it did for trunks
This is the saddest moment in DBZ history, with Gohan dying, and leaves Trunks all alone in this hellish future to fend for himself. Can there be any scene in DBZ that can get much sadder than that?

Easily the most powerful moment in entire franchise. It's had traumatic moments before (often triggering SSJ transformations) but there was something so *hopeless* about this one. Even the way Trunks slams the ground in frustration afterward. When Goku went SSJ, he followed it up with a beatdown. When Trunks goes SSJ? He just despairs.
As well as when vegeta went super saiyan he followed it up with a beat down as well. When present Gohan turned super saiyan you were like "yeah...there he is..." only for his ssj2 to be his truest moment. goten and present trunks were meant to be shock/gags and not to be taken seriously (and honestly after all the drama transformations there's only so much you can do before it becomes predictable, i understand that to an extent). Also the thing is, most of this is toei taking liberties, they had the buildup and tension and without those this scene wouldn't hold up as much. We see these two spend time together, fight together, talk to each other, train and eat together. Trunks is trying his darndest to become a ssj here but in the manga i think he already was and Toei did a bold move by doing things differently from the original and for the better.
Its so despairing because Trunks finally reaches SSJ and the world is like “Yeah and?” That despite reaching what was assumed to be the legendary super saiyan form, it didn’t matter because that still wouldn’t be enough.
True Dat! Everything Future Trunks cares about including his whole fucking timeline is Killed Off for Good and Deader than Dead so hard that no dragon alive can fix what Zamasu and Zeno did to them except for Future Mai. His main timeline friends all but abandoned him and kept them a secret from everyone. He’s forced to live as mere echoes eternally in the shadows of their counterparts indigenous to that timeline, doomed to forever chasing phantoms of all the friends he has lost. Every moment seeing phantoms off his fallen allies constantly remind him of everyone he failed and is TORTURE. He hasn’t had a thing to stop the phantoms with the faces of his friends reprimanding him for failing them from eating away at his sanity in over a decade so deep down he is probably a bit crazily murderous along with being positively livid. Then suddenly, those precious friends who forgot about him pop back into their lives, and all he wants to do is tell them how much he’s missed them, but instead ALL THOSE CONFUSING EMOTIONS AND PENT UP MURDEROUS INSANITY JUST GET HIM ALL FIRED UP!! Android 17 (who together with android 18 murdered Future Gohan in Trunks’ timeline) is the MVP of the Tournament of Power and now the dearly departed Future Gohan is rolling in his grave right now...oh, wait! That’s impossible because Zeno erased that entire timeline...oh, wait! That’s happening right now because Android 17 wished back that timeline aka Zamasu. Since Goku Black didn’t reveal what he looked like until he roflstomped Future Trunks meaning that Jiren doesn’t know the appearance of the “evil doer”. This means that the “evil doer “ could be Goku Black and if Broly and Gogeta become cannon, anything’s possible including Goku Black being the evil doer. Toei Animation please have Goku Black be the “evil doer” in jiren’s backstory and make Zamasu returning because Android 17 wished back the future timeline cannon. It’s the perfect excuse for the main timeline’s heroes to be too weak to defeat a villain and have to ask Future Trunks & Future Mai for help for once and have Bulma Getting Crap Past the Radar by telling the Cassandra Truth of the story of Future Trunks including the Forbidden Chekhov’s Gun as the Legend of the Chekhov and all the other universes’ inhabitants Tempting Fate by saying But That’s Just an Old Fairy Tale as Gowasu keeps a radar silence due to peer pressure followed by a Save the World Finale featuring a Cataclysm Climax as all the universes’ inhabitants unanimously agree while screaming Screw the Rules it’s the Apocalypse and that the Zamasu situation has officially crossed the Godzilla Threshold, luckily, Zamasu Can’t Stop the Signal to the battle couple of Future Trunks & Future Mai despite both complaining here we go again upon receiving the news, come back for the finale once more, with clarity in this end of the world special, arriving just in time to save the day during the darkest hour with all the inhabitants of every universe panicking about how nothing can save us now being their cue for their big damn heroes moment arrival complete with Future Trunks going all we meet again my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die and full vengeful sadist who’s laughing now mode as Zamasu has a oh crap realisation as O.O.C. is serious business right before Future Trunks dishes out a it’s personal humiliation conga and this is for there is no kill like overkill no-holds-barred beatdown on Zamasu fuelled by unstoppable rage on the place Future Trunks first landed in the past where it all began and bookends in the form of Future Trunks deciding to wrap it up with the finishing move ensuring Zamasu’s Rasputinian death being an ironic echo callback on the day of reckoning, killing Zamasu deader than dead as it’s the only way to be sure, thus making the end of an age and the dawn of an era, after the world healing wave, Future Trunks & Future Mai say that I choose to stay because we are not going through that again. Toei Animation please make this cannon. Mark my words!
1:52 Notice Trunks looking at his own hands and realizes 2 things: 1. He finally became a super saiyan, and 2. It's too late to make a difference. That one little detail elevates this scene from great to fucking legendary.
This is the most tragic, but most fulfilling transformation in all of dbz in my opinion. He lost everything but his new strength opened the door for his triumph.
God damn, whether that was intentional or not, that is absolutely amazing and as far as I'm concerned, canon. Especially since he follows it up not by dashing off in a vengeful rage, but instead collapsing. Succumbing to despair. There was no "awesome moment of asskicking" here, like with SSJ Goku or SSJ2 Gohan. It's just pure despair.
I love how he screams in pain of loss then as soon as he turns Super Saiyan, he forgets everything that happened and all that matters is releasing the rage
It is because he forced it so much and he went into the depths of his soul to awaken his abilities. He had nothing left and was forced to become who he is today. awesome scene. It was a man who lost everything and became stronger that is why it gives you goose bumps.
Trunks just goes thru it man, like 24/7. He had his dad killed, all of his friends killed, world basically destroyed, mentor killed, world basically destroyed AGAIN, had his MOM killed, thought he lost his lover, and then finally has his ENTIRE TIMELINE ERASED. Like, bro doesn't even have a home anymore, God snapped his fingers and said 'nah.'
I love the buildup to this scene. Throughout the movie when Trunks was trying to turn Super Saiyan Gohan would tell him “Use the pain of loss” and Trunks explained that he’d never lost anyone. Then he saw his friend and mentor lying facedown in a puddle dead and that was the pain of loss that finally pushed him over the edge. Best Super Saiyan transformation in the series.
@Dylan Ogega Whether they are or aren't is moot. The point we can all agree on is that TFS showed this scene the respect it warranted. Hell, their take on the special as a whole was much more gentle than usual. I guess that happens with subject matter this dark. (Not that it didn't have its share of jokes, but just compare them to the pace of DBZA season 1.)
I've only watched maybe a fistful of DBZ episodes. I have no attachment to either of these characters, yet I felt all of Trunks emotions in this scene. Incredible animation, voice acting and score.
Too bad that you didn’t watch every episode, otherwise this transformation would’ve hit on many more emotional levels, because we grew up with and cheered for these characters
Take into account Trunks never had a Super Saiyan theme. His moment was meant to be like this. There's no orchestra, no instruments, just a young man crying out in despair at the sight of his best friend/mentor, laying dead before him. This scene did its job to show what level of pain and fury one had to feel to ascend to the next level... And now that mediocrity, Super, has the audacity to replace years of blood, sweat, and trauma, into a tingly back. That is why I am not a fan of Dragon Ball Super. Whether there is an explanation to how that was achieved, in my eyes, it will have always stolen and ruined one of the greatest and most agonizing part of a Saiyan's ascension. RIP Super Saiyan
@David Yang their transforms was just made for purpose of funny. It's not to take it for seriously. Toriyama said that, but for claulifla and kale it was serious
People sleep on the fact, that trunks lost everything. His father, his friends, and now Gohan. The only person that was a friend, a brother and you could even say he was a father to trunks. And after losing everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, he managed to use his pain of loss to finally transform into a super saiyan.. ONLY for all that pain and struggle, for it to STILL not be ENOUGH. He transformed at his peak, and tried to avenge and still lost. Like trunks couldn't even fight back and avenge his fallen comrades. That's painful
I really felt sad for both of them.. Both Gohan nd trunks had the worst life in dbz . That moment still haunts trunks. And also they never showed us how Gohan when he was a kid managed to escape from the wrath of the Android's.. He was just a kid. A kid has to face all his friends get died at hand's of the Android's.. How Gohan must have felt from that day because trunks was just a baby.. he had no one to tell no one to share his problems. TBH I really felt sad for future gohan..😭😭
@@zeno7570 fuck no don’t get me wrong narutos life is fucked but nothing comes close to trunks I mean the 9 tails barely destroyed a small village the Androids damn near destroyed earth
Not that I people touch on that. How he experienced all this pain to finally turn ssj and face the androids, and yet he STILL failed. That shit stinged him for sure. At least he is able to kill the androids and avenge everyone the second time he faces them though
Even if they didn't show the fight, the shot at 1:04 alone does a hauntingly good job at conveying that Gohan brutallt lost the fight. The way his body lies half submerged in water, eyes open with a lifeless void of white, that is not a heroes death. That is not the end result of someone who fought valiantly, managing to take one of them down and scare the other one off but succumbing to the fatal injuries he sustained during battle in the end. That is the death of someone who was being trolled until it wasn't fun anymore and got massacred till his final breath.
+VictusPrime future trunks timeline would make a 10/10 anime in and of itself. dark, post apocalyptic thriller action anime instead of the normal dbz approach.
actually i think the og timeline is where they all die, since cell pretty much killed trunks for his time machine to then travel to the timeline we know of for 17 and 18.
@@javsfuneral Yeah you're right about everyone being dead in the original timeline. (Which is depressing) What I don't understand is how was this timeline created? I know that the original Trunks (the one that got killed by cell) time traveled to the past creating another timeline that we never get to see. The future Trunks that we all know and love created the main show but who created his? What do you think?
@@jasonrivera3222Remember that Cell arrived in the (now) main timeline one year before Trunks. This was enough to cause a butterfly effect and everything we saw during the Androids Saga happened. The Trunks that Cell killed deactivated the Androids with the remote built from the Gero's blueprints, that's the reason Cell disposed of him easily. *The Trunks we know deviated from his original version the moment he stepped on the main timeline,* and, learning from Cell himself what happened, evaded his (unlikely since he was stronger in this version) murder and killed our favorite bug villain.
These transformations make sense Pure hatred and anger and you achieve a new power. DBS ruined it with those female sayains and their tingly shit at their back.
If you had at least a quarter of a brain you would understand that because of the Super Saiyan power surging through their body they got a tingly feeling in their back. They never stated that becoming Super Saiyan is from a tingly back. In fact, Toriyama stated becoming Super Saiyan is from genetics
When I witnessed Trunks screaming to the heavens after holding his master Gohan's dead body in his arms, I could feel the rage, the despair, and the utter helplessness just pour out of him. Hell, just watching this scene alone made me want to scream to the heavens. I don't want to sound too dramatic, but this scene absolutely tore my guts out. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing your mentor and best friend to a duo of murderous savages like the Androids (in this case). This will always be my favorite transformation, the music in the background, the rain and lighting, seeing Gohan lifeless body, we all felt that pain and seeing it now as an adult, that’s the push that trunks needed to transform
The reason eng dub DBZ is best The animations The music, theme The perfect voice Gohan lying on the water, his lifeless eyes, the rain, the guitar The emotional outburst Man, nothing beats it...🥺
What makes it worse is he’s still just a kid. He’s just a teenager and he has so much trauma. He just wanted to live a normal life. That’s the worst of it :(
by the time Trunks is screaming, he’s completely lost himself. he’s gripping at his face like an animal, and that rage was finally enough to push him over the edge. most deserved and raw transformation of the series imo
what should of happened when gohan started studying goku: oh god what did she do to you gohan you were a strong fighter and you were everything to me gohan! Gohan!! GOHAN!!!
When you think about it, The only cast of the original Dragonball left in the future timeline who are *NOT* dead is just Roshi, Bulma, Oolong, Turtle, and Puar. (Due to the factor that everyone but Bulma are hiding in a submarine)
The saddest part is that super Saiyan meant nothing, it was something they were trying to get throughout that time but without gohan the transformation is useless, he can’t beat the androids by himself
It's so heart-wrenching to me because we know what he has in the main time-line as an adult with a family, all that was stolen from him here, to just be left as a corpse in the rain like common road kill, it's so tragic
Dude the fact that his scream is what triggers his transformation is so awsome, just how the sayans used to turn into apes and shot out their mouths, its the only transformation that ive seen so connected to his ancestors. Love it!
This scene is perfect, the song, the rain, gohan's demise and trunks rage and sadness it's a great mix, this event alongside Goku's turning for the first time are one of the most iconic moments of the franchise in my opinion.
Samuel E Santos I think Dragon Ball Super still has blood, not as much as in DBZ, but Vegeta spill a bit of blood that goes away after Black stabs him and there was some in that Beerus vs Champa baseball filler (blood was used for comedy instead though). The most sensible thing to do would be to move DBS to a late night schedule(HxH did something similar)
I can't pick between this being my favorite transformation in the entirety of DB or SSJ2 Gohan's. SSJ2 Gohan's had so much build up to it, all the way from the beginning of Z, so it was cathartic. But Trunks was legitimately about his losses. He's lost everything and up until this point the only person he had as an actual friend was Gohan. When he says "You were everything to me" it rings true in the sense that he was the only person he had left aside from his mom. Then when he lost him it was his like his snapping point. Death is permanent in his timeline, everyone Trunks has loved or cared about has died and they're never coming back and he has to live with that. Even when he came to the second timeline he saw how nonchalantly the Z fighters revived people. A side note I want to add is that I love how the music fades away once he begins to transform. I love how his transformation does not have any music behind it like all the others. It's silent and sad. There's nothing left but Trunks and his grief. He's alone. I just thought that was an awesome touch. Once where silence is profound. Still one of my favorite transformations. The best ones are the personal ones. SSJ3 and SSJ4 were cool and all but there was no progression working towards it. It was kind of just like "Hey ! Want to see this cool new thing I can do?" And bam. But this Transformation was deep.
This is the original timeline. The true timeline. The one we all know and love is not even the true canon timeline. Imagine if trunks never found a way to go back in time.
This is the best transformation in the series because this is the only scene that made me feel exactly how trunks did. The despair, anger and sadness it made me want to go super saiyan not just because it would be cool but because I felt exactly the same as trunks
This was probably the most disturbing scene to me in all of Z. Gohan's lifeless body just lying there, someone who had the heart of an angel, brutally killed, and what makes it worse is everyone else's death leaving trunks completley alone. Goku dying from the heart virus, all of the z fighters killed by the androids, not to mention kami, kurrin, and everyone else were killed by the androids, trunks was still a kid here and he was all alone at this point, the only warrior left that stood a chance against the androids. That then Trunks's ssj transformation. Always gives me chills, it's as great as gokus ssj transformation and Gohan's ssj2 transformation imo due to how much of a build up it all was
Yup! I remember being young and almost being taken aback with how ruthless trunks was but seeing where he came from and what he lost it’s like yup that’ll do it smh

THEY SCREWED FUTURE TRUNKS Future Trunks deserves way better than what they did to him after all of the worse and worse bullshit he has been dealing with 24/7 day in, day out and constantly putting up with all of that mental trauma & torture bullshit! Future Trunks’ entire existence is the epitome of Silver’s infamous quotes from Sonic 06, “It’s no use! Take this! It’s no use! How about this! It’s no use! This will end it!” Future Trunks has suffered enough at their hands already! It’s time to stop! It’s time to stop, okay! No more! Where the fuck are your parents?!? Who are your parents!?! I’m going to call child protective services! It’s time to stop! Too soon! It’s always too soon! Future Trunks is a ticking time bomb and is going to end up snapping and go full on pure evil genocidal maniac one of these days from all of the worse and worse mental trauma & torture bullshit he has to constantly deal and put up with as long as he is stuck in that timeline. It’s the perfect excuse for the main timeline’s heroes to be too weak to defeat a villain and have to ask Future Trunks & Future Mai for help for once and have Bulma Getting Crap Past the Radar by telling the Cassandra Truth of the story of Future Trunks including the Forbidden Chekhov’s Gun as the Legend of the Chekhov and all the other universes’ inhabitants Tempting Fate by saying But That’s Just an Old Fairy Tale as Gowasu keeps a radar silence due to peer pressure followed by a Save the World Finale featuring a Cataclysm Climax as all the universes’ inhabitants unanimously agree while screaming Screw the Rules it’s the Apocalypse and that the Zamasu situation has officially crossed the Godzilla Threshold, luckily, Zamasu Can’t Stop the Signal to the battle couple of Future Trunks & Future Mai despite both complaining here we go again upon receiving the news, come back for the finale once more, with clarity in this end of the world special, arriving just in time to save the day during the darkest hour with all the inhabitants of every universe panicking about how nothing can save us now being their cue for their big damn heroes moment arrival complete with Future Trunks going all we meet again my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die and full vengeful sadist who’s laughing now mode as Zamasu has a oh crap realisation as O.O.C. is serious business right before Future Trunks dishes out a it’s personal humiliation conga and this is for there is no kill like overkill no-holds-barred beatdown on Zamasu fuelled by unstoppable rage on the place Future Trunks first landed in the past where it all began and bookends in the form of Future Trunks deciding to wrap it up with the finishing move ensuring Zamasu’s Rasputinian death being an ironic echo callback on the day of reckoning, killing Zamasu deader than dead as it’s the only way to be sure, thus making the end of an age and the dawn of an era, after the world healing wave, Future Trunks & Future Mai say that I choose to stay because we are not going through that again. tukamoton1312 not really
no not at all
I really don't see how i mean gohan died.
William Greene cuz this is a different timeline when goku died before the androids and didnt train gohan in the hyber bolie lion tamer
1:52 Notice Trunks looking at his own hands and realizes 2 things: 1. He finally became a super saiyan, and 2. It's too late to make a difference. That one little detail elevates this scene from great to fucking legendary.
I never noticed that, but dam that's eye opening
i wish super went close to this level of legendary but it failed
This is the most tragic, but most fulfilling transformation in all of dbz in my opinion. He lost everything but his new strength opened the door for his triumph.
God damn, whether that was intentional or not, that is absolutely amazing and as far as I'm concerned, canon. Especially since he follows it up not by dashing off in a vengeful rage, but instead collapsing. Succumbing to despair.
There was no "awesome moment of asskicking" here, like with SSJ Goku or SSJ2 Gohan. It's just pure despair.
Man, the way the music just cuts right before he starts screaming was such a genius move. Scene gives me such chills
The music in general needs a shout out. It isn't epic or awesome. There is no "moment of awesome" here. It's just absolute despair.
Every DBZ fan right now

THE BEST Super Saiyan transformation! This was the only one that gave me goosebumps.
What about goku on namek?
when gohan turn super sayian 2 against cell gave me more goosebumps
It is because he forced it so much and he went into the depths of his soul to awaken his abilities. He had nothing left and was forced to become who he is today. awesome scene. It was a man who lost everything and became stronger that is why it gives you goose bumps.
Well said my friend.
Vegeta's transformation a close second
Trunks just goes thru it man, like 24/7. He had his dad killed, all of his friends killed, world basically destroyed, mentor killed, world basically destroyed AGAIN, had his MOM killed, thought he lost his lover, and then finally has his ENTIRE TIMELINE ERASED. Like, bro doesn't even have a home anymore, God snapped his fingers and said 'nah.'
Through all the rage he should be above Gohan
shhh its ok
we can change the Goku Black ending in the new budokai game :-)
anyone here because dragon ball super just didnt do it right

I love the buildup to this scene. Throughout the movie when Trunks was trying to turn Super Saiyan Gohan would tell him “Use the pain of loss” and Trunks explained that he’d never lost anyone. Then he saw his friend and mentor lying facedown in a puddle dead and that was the pain of loss that finally pushed him over the edge. Best Super Saiyan transformation in the series.

I've only watched maybe a fistful of DBZ episodes. I have no attachment to either of these characters, yet I felt all of Trunks emotions in this scene. Incredible animation, voice acting and score.
much respect on that. DBZ movies are my childhood memory for sure
Can’t do nothin but feel it. Every time I see this I wanna jump in and help lol
There was already an explanation on how super saiyan is a achieved, it's called the pain of loss. But you know DBS. Retcon after retcon after retcon.
Fucking preach this comment deserves all the likes possible
And then they try to play it off with all that s cell mediclorian shit... I like super but that ruined these characters defining scenes for me
@David Yang their transforms was just made for purpose of funny. It's not to take it for seriously. Toriyama said that, but for claulifla and kale it was serious
I just think supers made for the new kids
TBH I really felt sad for future gohan..😭😭
some narutard said naruto's life was more painful than trunks bruh
@@zeno7570 fuck no don’t get me wrong narutos life is fucked but nothing comes close to trunks I mean the 9 tails barely destroyed a small village the Androids damn near destroyed earth
@Jack Newmark Trunks beat both the androids before going back and that timelines base Cell
Am I the only one who wants to know more about what happened in Future Trunk's timeline? As depressing as it might be...

Gohan: Surprise! I'm just joking Trunks. You needed to have motivation to be a super saiyan
actually i think the og timeline is where they all die, since cell pretty much killed trunks for his time machine to then travel to the timeline we know of for 17 and 18.

They never stated that becoming Super Saiyan is from a tingly back. In fact, Toriyama stated becoming Super Saiyan is from genetics
"Toriyama stated becoming a Super Saiyan is about genetics"
"Do you're fucking research"

When I witnessed Trunks screaming to the heavens after holding his master Gohan's dead body in his arms, I could feel the rage, the despair, and the utter helplessness just pour out of him. This was so sad cause piccolo died so there was no dragon balls to wish him back ad trunks was alone after this and only had his mom left..
@Shah Rukh Shakeel made no fucking sense, why not send Gohan to Namek and wish everyone back?

Dragon Ball Super needs DBZ amount of blood and pain
maybe we should go and punish torei animation
If they could they would. Japanese standards have changed.
Samuel E Santos I think Dragon Ball Super still has blood, not as much as in DBZ, but Vegeta spill a bit of blood that goes away after Black stabs him and there was some in that Beerus vs Champa baseball filler (blood was used for comedy instead though).
The most sensible thing to do would be to move DBS to a late night schedule(HxH did something similar)
dbs is a crime .. pure business
Super is trying to be more like modern anime that aren't horror, they hardly had that unlike Z that wasn't afraid of that.
Anyone who has lost anyone close can feel this scene.
No moment in the entire Dragon Ball chronology has ever made me cry as hard as this.
The most deserved super saiyan transformation of all time.
To think that Future Trunks is the only Saiyan left on his timeline. If he dies then that’ll be the extinction to the Saiyan Race.
I would just pick both. I mean it’s easier that way because they’re both too badass and iconic to not be favorites but that’s just my opinion bro
Maximilliano Orosco-Randhawa good point man
I feel like trunks was in so much pain he could have simultaneously unlocked his mangekyou sharingan & turned ssj.....
The Uchiha's and sayains are oddly similar when you think about it
This is the original timeline. The true timeline. The one we all know and love is not even the true canon timeline. Imagine if trunks never found a way to go back in time.
Factsssss! That’s what people tend to forget that this is the ORIGINAL timeline. Without trunks we wouldn’t have anything
@UNIVERSAL SPACE EXPEDITIONER yeah, cell's timeline is trunks' timeline as well, dumbass.
UNIVERSAL SPACE EXPEDITIONER bruh I’m sure goku black timeline is the exact same thing as the future timeline lol
My personal favourite SSJ transformation. I get shivers everytime i watch it no matter how many times i watch it.
This is the best transformation in the series because this is the only scene that made me feel exactly how trunks did. The despair, anger and sadness it made me want to go super saiyan not just because it would be cool but because I felt exactly the same as trunks
This hurts even more now that Toriyama is dead.
The guitar is pure heartache and rage. The most legit SSJ transformation in the series.
Fans finding out the news about Toriyama
That is one hell of a tingly feeling on his back.
Always gives me chills, it's as great as gokus ssj transformation and Gohan's ssj2 transformation imo due to how much of a build up it all was
Watching this and seeing his encounter with Frieza makes perfect sense. The way Trunks punishes Frieza is reflective of all the good he couldn't do.
Yup! I remember being young and almost being taken aback with how ruthless trunks was but seeing where he came from and what he lost it’s like yup that’ll do it smh
"You were everything to me...EVERYTHING."

Requires hurt, sadness, loss, and anger to turn Super Saiyan
