@@avonord Hi! For tipica recipes burger with Sicilian high quality ingrendients you must go to 'FUD', it's in the city center near the Teatro Massimo. If you want eat fish recipes you can go in Mondello for example to 'Calogero' Or in sferracavallo to ''Delfino' For sicilian recipes you can go to 'Ferro di cavallo' . If you are looking for high level quality sea food and recipes fish related I can suggest you '' L' acquario''.
Sicily is one of the most beautiful and interesting places my husband and I have visited; we just loved it. The food looks amazing; fresh and delectable !
China no just in Palermo, even though every part of Italy has amazing gastronomic excellences but street food like you see in this video can be found mostly in south Italy with its peak in Palermo, whose street food is considered one of the best in the entire globe.
Palermo has the best street food venders. Try the octopus. It will be a culinary experience.
I love my culture to the fullest. No doubts. If I could choose to be apart of any culture, I'd choose Greek, Sicilian, or Mediterranean culture. Particularly the food and the human compassion.
I was in Palermo in January...It's so true, the culture is so much alike, the spirit, the hospitality and kindness of people!! Street food is awesome and Sicilians happy and kind!! So close to our culture!
this environment is the best BUT... to cook octupus as I saw on this video... its 1hr minimum... octupus cooked has to be tender..... quick cooking like that gives you a chewy experience... sorry .. reallyy tilted me that :)
Don't know about know about nowadays. I've heard and read that until recently Palermo didnt feel like other Italian big Cities, it had its own exotic feel. On their own no biggy; but all together they made an experience. And a unique way of life that comes from Old community spirit. By way of example, everywhere else in Italy butchers are called macellerie. Not in Palermo, oh no, only Parlemitans name their butchers carnezzerie. A lot of sicilians came to England at the end of the 1800s. Looking for work, on the run from the law, making their way to Liverpool (one of the main embarcation points for passage to l'america) to book passage on a ship to New York, and the East Coast of America. Find Family or friends already settled and make a new life. Some never made it, they found work in UKs cities like Manchester, Liverpool and London to name a few that had large mainly southern Italian communities. Well one was my mates dad and he taught me.Pasta Al dente ( rumour in UK in 80s was spaghetti was ready when you threw a piece if it stuck too wall it was ready!!! )and how to make good tomato sauce and good meat sauce. And how to make differences by adding roast peppers and fresh sardines instead of meat etc. Basics but good stuff. I mean even now Britain love a spaghetti bolagnaisse or a lasagne. I guarantee one of them will be on a typical mum's menu during the week , guaranteed. Thing is they think bolagnaisse is a jar of cheap brand name pasta sauce with fryer mince beef. And that they're being adventurous by adding peppers.Haha. My mates Dad got me interested in Italy. As he used to say Sicily is not Italy. Right that's the end of my impromptu novel.
@For Truth True only after the Patria was established and the 2 sicilies bourbon rule over thrown was Sicily said to be Italy. It's like Wales being called England. So I get it. Unless educated or from the Country most will think it's Italy as such. When your from the places you then know the differences. Like Basque and Spain etc.
Man, this reminds me of all the costal arab cities I've visited :) ... Vendors working and minding their own businesses and not trying to sell you things you don't want... That's the perk of food i guess, you let the smoke do the selling :)
+Tasty Foods Agreed. I think what I most like about them is they're real. Nothing is staged... it's just real events, real people. I find that very refreshing.
This food looks amazing. The best food is always the ones that ordinary local folks gravitates to. Always best to eat out in street casually drinking and talking to friends and family
I am a biggest street food lover from India...I love this food in Palermo - Sicily. There are many non veg items in the stall, I am really like the food...my mouth watering now...Yummy! Delicious! 😋😋😋
Wow how amazing you didn't speak anything untill the videos end, but I didn't forward even an minute, your videos speaks many things, I am feeling hungry now..
A picture is worth a thousand words. With CONTEXT, a little description would make this actually useful and enjoyable. No Need to go all Mark Wiens but some description about what we are seeing would be good.
And then you talk about the "Mediterranean" diet of the Italians? I don't need to say anything about the hygiene in the preparation of the food... You can see that.
A Palermo non rimani MAI senza qualcosa da mangiare! Per me (e non solo) ha il miglior street food d 'Italia. Questo video è solo un assaggino delle tante squisitezze che abbiamo. Saluti da Lodi.
Wow Bravo.
