Shawn was always a strong dude. He was able to throw out both Yokozuna (near 700 pounds in 96) and Vader (450 pounds) at the same time in the 1996 Royal Rumble (they assisted obviously by leaning on the ropes) but that's still impressive. He also body slammed Vader in 1996.

I don’t recall this happening. Yoko was never 700 pounds. He was realistically probably 500+. They exaggerate their weights like they do heights. Vader was probably realistically 380-385 most of his career. Regardless, Shawn was a strong guy compared to the average man. Shawn was a solid 215 to 220 in 1996. I’d give Shawn a 350 to 400 pound bench.

@@zlinedavid yeah he couldve dominated in College too. In his documentary you can see him use the Rhodes name for the first time when he won his State Championship. Xavier Woods was hoping to beat Cody and win his father over to get into Pro Wrestling. He was shocked to find out Cody was so good at what he did. The son of a Pro Wrestler wasnt expected to be so good at Real Wrestling.

Cody is by far a superior wrestler. Shawn was never a wrestler. He was agile and could fly around and take great bumps, but never any kind of a technical wrestler. So Cody wins that side of it. I do believe Shawn maybe slightly wins out on match storytelling. As far as babyface runs, Cody was just as over as a babyface as Shawn was at his peak as a babyface. I never cared much for Shawn. He was unprofessional, at times unreliable when he didn’t want to do business. Cody has been the consummate professional throughout.
@@bigc2626you don’t have to be a technical wrestler to be a wrestler. They all come in different shapes and sizes and HBK is one of the best ever when it comes to pro wrestling.
