Unfortunately not, I used to pick up off duty work doing security at a nearby oilfield. Chipper jones owned a ranch nearby and is my all time favorite ball player. For years I carried a baseball with me but I never ran into him , he sold the ranch a couple of years ago. Great video as always, take care kennons!
It was an honor getting to know Arnulfo and later Manual Luna in the canyons. They are great individuals that we can all learn a lot from! I had the chance to get to know Arnulfo better after this run and he is a great individual, always smiling, and always laughing about something! On a later run we went on (this one 14 miles instead of 2!) I told him I was really craving a quesadilla and he thought that was just the funniest thing ever for some reason 😂
Que hermoso es nuestro México, cuántos lugares! Cuánta cultura, que afortunados son ustedes güeros por conocer tanto, definitivamente este será uno de mis videos favoritos, saludos desde Veracruz!
Kinetic Kennons Goyo you are a cheater!!! You were running downhill!!! At least that’s what I noticed🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️ just kidding, you’ll do 👍 great 👍 I used to live in the Sierra long time ago, and I can tell ya, you need to go back in rain season, I just 😍 love it!!!
Saludos Greg and Hilary desde Coahuila Mex
Your viewers may not know, the Tarahumara people RUN. That's what they do. They run for no apparent reason, kind of like Forrest Gump, just for the pure pleasure of running. I don't know if they have a genetic predisposition to running or if it is a cultural thing, but they are famous for it.
They like yo run, they dont run if they dont have fun, I have see them in some. Of the races I go and they are smiling all the time or most of the time, they like to run, I dont know if genetics have something to do, I was born in la sierra, my family lives there, I love to run, I always have, and when I started like 4years ago, to trained for different distances I can see, It has been easier the training than for my husband or other people I know that has been doing it for more time. Than me, I like to think genetics help me a bit.
There is a reason The terrain does not allow cars plus rarramury indians don't have nor need driver's license here in chihuahua

It's because there's no driveways, they are living in poverty, they don't have access to a car, now they do it because that's how they feed their families. Anthropologist have found that this culture was not actually originated in the mountains, they were driven there for the persecution and discrimination against them. Yes. I'm proud that they are winning races across the world, but this is a reality that we don't have to ignore. I wish they could do it for the simple pleasure of running.
They run because they enjoy it. I heard they ran from the spanish & hid in the mountains. You dont need a materialistic life or a huge home, a car, designer shoes, it doesn't bring happiness, so why do people keep saying they are poor? Having less doesnt mean your unhappy or poor. Some groups like being minimalist. They are happy, surrounded by nature, it's a different lifestyle, not for everyone, but it doesn't mean they are poor and suffering. No, if that was the case, Mexico has a lot to offer if they want to move and find a new place with more opportunity and cars, but they are happy where they are and they enjoy wearing their traditional clothing and sandles, so much they run with it.
What an Honor to meet, talk and run with a person of that caliber. Something I’ve always admired about our native people is their humbleness and respect for nature and others, we can learn a lot from them especially in this day in age of materialistic things and material world. Thanks for sharing this experience with us and what a scenery ❤️

How special and wonderful.

Taahumaran people are also some of the most modest, gentle and nice people in Mexico! They've also been forgotten by the Mexican government which is such a shame. Girls also run beautifully! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video!
These are the real Mexicans. Too bad that our government, society doesn’t honor and respect them as who they really are and deserve. So cool that you had to experience this and get to know them. Love your videos!! You guys transport us to the real Mexico.
