    I can’t thank you enough. I have been in to this since I was 6. I’m 45 now and my son is 13 and started flying a few months ago after watching you. This video is the best so far because you explained the importance of putting the time in what you want to get good at. Nice work, love it!!!!

    Brian and Megan. Well said my friends. My club has been around for approx 33 years and is at high risk of not getting approval for FRIA. If it happens, I will still find a way and means to fly and leave it at that. I’m glad you are working to expand your rc flying field and would love to pay a visit someday if it is possible. Keep your head up and keep doing what you doing. God Bless, Brad.

    Yup. On all points. OK. Now.... I LOVE that you did this video, for all the obvious reasons you did it. I'd written off this plane as fitting my wants/needs/skill/lack-there-of, based on all the reviews I've seen, all on 4S batteries. Too much for me. I'm new, and I'm old. So 100mph and "P-factor that makes you duck for cover" is not for me. But damn... "scale flying" is so cool, and your demos with the 3s 2200 were gorgeous. Thanks to you, and of course the Camera Crew!

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  11 месяцев назад

      Gotta know WHERE you are, not just where you're heading. This is a hard pill to swallow when you're new to RC, but to be honest, if you can take it down with stride, you'll have a more enjoyable buildup to this and other WAY more difficult to fly planes...and as to scale flying - OHHHHH MY, it's one of my biggest joys in life. I wish I could bottle the feeling and sell it; this stuff would put the cartels out of business!!! ;)

    Brian, it's interesting that the rocket pod on your P-47 fell off. Mine fell off and Nate Saylor's fell off also during his flight. Eflite needs to have the factory put a bigger dab of glue on that bayonet mount! I'll have to ask the other two pilots in our club that have the Razorbacks if they had problems with theirs. Anyway, I love this warbird, and I love your videos! Keep up the good work Brian and Megan!

    One thing about a lighter battery, is you get better take offs and lighter landings which is better on that gear. And that plane really gets alot out of the 3s! . I have an old dynam Trojan which was nothing but 3s and had to chsnge it to 4s with 50amp esc and she's alright now. But 3s was pitiful on that Trojan, no climb, I was scared to even loop to loop. But Eflight has it going on with there motors ! Its worth it to spend a lil more on eflite motors not just because of its great ability but you get way better flight time! So props to eflite. And on that p47, I can see 3s higher c rating , and a few more mah,, little would fly so long🙂

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  11 месяцев назад +2

      We have 74 acres ready to register, but the FAA is currently turning down anything that's not an AMA club - which should be illegal. FAA needs to get sued. I'm not asking for a fight with the FAA, and can't afford to be one of their "test cases", which is why we don't talk about it much.
      As far as I'm concerned, if you own it, you ought to be able to self certify your site as a FRIA, even if you're next door to a FREAKING CLASS B airport, but us, we're in class G airspace which ought to be automatically FRIA.
      As for the roll out. I've been on the phone numerous times talking with my House of Reps and will be working Senate next, and you need to be doing the same too!

    • @roedere

      @@BrianPhillipsRC thank so much for your effort. Yep, like most of these Govt agencies, FAA is on a power trip and complete overreach in a hobby area they know ZERO. While flying my 1.3m pa18 at the park behind my house (no one else was there), a Park Police SUV pulled into the park. I was already greasing the 1st of many really terrible landings (ok, right-side-up crashes), and thought the officer was going to break out the faa handcuffs. He pulled up neaby and asked me if i had been following local guidelines for park flying and if was familiar with rules and regs, etc. I told him what he wanted to hear and he complimented my soon to be not as beautiful airplane and drove away.
    He didnt really seem interested in the rules and regs as much as just seeing if i was competent or some doofus wielding a flying buzz saw.
    I really dont see any of my local law enforcement being interested in harrassing me to enforce some goofy law as long as we're all flying safely and not acting foolish. Just my take on this stuff.
    Landing practice really has paid off. I havent had to straighten gear or take the cap off my foam2foam in weeks 👍

      Keep at it. Fly like there's no tomorrow, but rest assured, there will be a tomorrow, even if we have to get a bit more creative, and possibly sue the FAA - LOL ;) But seriously, If you haven't been hounding your Representatives, and Senators, you need to start doing it. I have been on the phone for hours with my officials complaining, and asking them to help fix this mess.

    hi brian, sorry for the weird question. But how to put and remove the electricity lines from the street? there are videos that there are and there are no electricity lines hehehe

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC  11 месяцев назад +1

      You fight with your electric service provider over how much they screwed you over when they refused to offer underground service (which is required by law here), then after 8-9 months, you'll pay what they bid anyway, since they quite literally have a monopoly. LOL (cry)
      We wrote a check for $24,263 to have this done, and this is about 3 years after we paid $25,000 of the $35,000 that was due to put in the 9 poles, one of which was FORCED on us for the "downstream" service that doesn't exist, and they gave us a $6,000 +/- accommodation for that LIE that they agreed happened, ie it was going to be $31,000, but I worked for literally 3/4 of the year to fight them into a lower bid. The guy who lied to me and was primarily responsible for breaking the "tariff" (in failing to bid underground service) retired between our overhead service and this move.
      Thanks Warren Buffet! MidAmerican energy will get sued by me at a later date (which I told them), when and if we get enough money to do so. This is a huge principle issue for me, but I don't have the time to fight for it now, and plus, I own quite a bit of Berkshire Hathaway stock, so I'll make sure to sell it all before I take them to court - LOL ;)
      Anyway, you heard it here from the source, if you want to relocate your primary service, just tell them you plan to do MANNED AIRCRAFT OPS, and they will offer some BALLS on the lines, or possibly to relocate the service, but in our current environment, we have to cover the full cost of the move, even though they lied and broke the "law" when they didn't offer a bid about 4 years ago. So, if you're adding up the bills - that was about $57,000 for power delivery to my house...$25,000 initially, then $7,000 to the house from the pole, then another $24,263 to relocate it underground.
      Very ironically, we then got a solar system for about $67,000 (yes, $124,000 in power here) which turned on about the same time our power lines were moved under ground, and we're about to buy backup batteries, so soon, we may not NEED the primary service, if we're careful. This is just the cost of doing business in a monopoly, and in the country. If you build a house off the grid, plan to pay to extend it to where you live ;)
      Also, I'm pretty hard on about being as self sufficient as I possibly can be, and it's worth borrowing some money from the bank to do it. I'd love to say that it's not a burdened, but it IS. I could elaborate on how and why more, but don't want to overwhelm you with too many details, but you can understand this easily, we have to work hard to make all this happen, and having power is a big part of it.
      Hope I answered all your questions, and hope you don't hear my reply in the wrong light.

    The DOUBLE STANDARD SAFETY GARBAGE TO OVERREGULATE must be challenged with statistics....
    FAA allowed a factory exhaust stack in line of runway & its plume constantly troubled pilots until recently one cloudy day a female competent pilot sadly crashed into it. No plane has crashed due to drones. So statistically if that stack is ok all drones must be ok.

    Yeah. I watched a video on drones recently and their technology and we don’t have anywhere NEAR the capabilities even the cheap drones do. We keep these things close to us and relatively low. It’s just apples and oranges in many ways and incredibly frustrating.
