I've been trying to install Java Edition for my daughter for about 2 hours now. I ended up installing the Windows 7/8 .msi installer instead of the Windows 10/11 .exe. Seems to be working ok!
Thanks! I had been able to install Preview but not regular Bedrock (was stuck on "Idle" when trying to download) and it was driving me crazy. I had tried a bunch of things, and I did the troubleshooter (found nothing), then windows store repair+reset, then the powershell script. One of these did the trick, now all my user accounts on the computer can install. Thank you!!!

Thank you, i apparently had to fix my region because it was marked as Spain when i live in America, synchronize the time and finally update my Windows Store app. Now i´m able to finally play Minecraft without problems!.

HOWEVER, I did installed what seemed to me like unrelated Windows Updates and for other Store Apps in the meantime (which I did prior to using your Guide, but there were more), and after restarting my computer a few more times, I gave Minecraft another shot and I was finally able to install it! So, maybe the last few steps to reset the Windows Store didn't took effect until I've restarted after doing my Updates, but then again I wouldn't know. Still though, thanks for these steps, they may've very well helped me!

turns out the problem was that it doesn't like to download into external hard drives for some reason, i put it on my C drive and it worked
