Hi Lisa- am a fan and Demo! congrats on cracking the way to make bows! I studied floral design (college) & taught Adult Ed crafting..The first thing was always the bow- and once they mastered it- made a world of difference- Here is a tip- Cut a white pipe cleaner- to a small size- twist that in the middle- secures your bow- then add the white ribbon & Voila! Easy Peasy bows..Floral Designers make bows in 2 steps - we loop it as you have, then secure the bow- then add the middle loop with another pipe cleaner- and thats how it is Done!! The Pipe cleaners also make it easy to stick the bows into foam- eve seen any florals without a bow? :) try it for your Easter wreaths & bouquets! Love Ya!
Thanks so much for the tips Donna! I will have to try the pipe cleaners. I used to have a huge bag of them from when my daughter was little and we used to do craft projects all the time. I found them when I was moving and threw the bag away because I figured I would never need another one. LOL!

The workman was giving you a line. He knows it is illegal to take your power. If there was an issue with a gap under the fence, he should not have taken anything from your property to fix it. That is on the owner of the other house's business to supply the extra dirt to fill the gap. He was totally in the wrong. And he knows it. He is hoping you do not turn him in. You need to turn him/them in. Or he will continue doing it to other people. He can ride rough shod over a woman and that is not right.
I love your card. I love the coloring technique. I am not sure about the bow. I will try and make one to see what it looks like in person. You are very talented and I am glad I found you.

I know this is months later, but usually homeowners aren’t allowed to put up a fence that blocks the view of a lake. Not sure if you have an association, but they would have set rules if you do. As for the guys in your yard doing what they did…. I’m not surprised, I could tell you some crazy stories of what workers have done either at my house or while working on neighbors houses. One being that yes, I too have caught them using my electricity and water as well. At this point I’m no longer shocked. Upsets yes, shocked no. Lol! The card is gorgeous!

I can still see the water good and I am starting to actually like the privacy of having the fence, especially when I want to go lay out on the deck in my bathing suit. LOL! Those workers were deadbeats. I was just scared to do much about it since I live alone and they knew that.

What a Beautiful card Lisa! 😊 Thank you for sharing this technique. / I don't blame you for being so upset with the "fence" guys, that was Totally uncalled for, and they had no right even being on your property, much less use your electric. I think I would've cried if I seen that they tore up part of my yard.
Thanks so much Donna! I almost did cry. I don’t think they understood how many hours it took me to make that flower bed from the ground up. It was just dirt there and I added all that garden soil and mulch one bag at a time since I can’t do a wheelbarrow. That was several days of hard work for me but they don’t understand that. Just sad.

wow, if I came home to that I would have told him to leave my property IMMEDIATLY ! Talk about nerve. I would also check and make sure that height of fence is legal where you live. Love that whitewash technique. Beautiful card. Keep us posted on the new neighbors.

Lisa, you are a lot nicer than I would be. For starters, I would have told them they couldn't use my hydro and make them pay me the first day. Secondly if they touched my flowerbed, I would have stood over them so they put it back as it was, then told them if I found them in my yard again I'd call the police. 3rdly, that fence will not keep out a pit bull! I love your card! 💕
I know. I think I am way too nice sometimes. But these men were kind of creepy and I live alone so I was scared to say too much.

Beautiful card! You may want to check with your building and land department about the location of the fence. There may be a 4 foot law when putting up a fence or tree line.

Beautiful card - and beautiful bow! Love it! If you get a pair of Reverse Craft Tweezers - I use an EK Tools Tweezer - it will actually hold your bow for you - aka "third hand"! I wish I'd seen your pretty bow before that wunnermus ribbon retired! :)

I can not believe I missed date night with Lisa!!! 😭😭😭 Hubby and I was watching The Green Beret with John Wayne, and I kept checking my phone to see if you was on yet. Well, the 3 puppies and I all fell asleep, so not only did I miss most of the movie, I missed your semi-live. 😢 This week has just been so busy, and I was just so tired.
Now, to comment on your wonderful video, in order...#1- All 3 cards are stunning!!! Normally I would choose the one with the blue ink blending, bc you know I 🎶love🎶 me some blue! However, that Cherry Cobbler really pops against the grays, black and white, so I really HAVE to choose that one! #2 - You, my friend was alot nicer to that guy than I would have been. I would have been on the phone with the company he works for, and he would have been fixing my yard back to it's original scape! 😡 I will go out of my way to be nice to people, even if they don't deserve it, but that guy would have felt the wrath of Denise when she gets fired up. However, kudos to you my sweet friend, you introduced him to what Grace looks like. I hope it wasn't lost on him. #3 🎶LOOOOOVE IIIITTT!!!🎶🎶🎶 Your card and your bow is absolutely gorgeous!!! 🥰 Tweezers make a GREAT 3rd hand. Clamp them right in the center of your bow and free up those 2 hands for the white ribbon girlfriend! Lol! 😂 I have a roll of that pink ribbon, but I haven't done anything with it. I like the way it looks, but I just wish it was 1/4" wide. Although, cutting it in half definitely fixes that problem, so apparently Tammy Wilson preferred it narrower as well. I'll have to pull up her videos and check out her work. Thanks for all you bring to the crafting community, and thanks for always being so sweet and approachable. I hope you have a great weekend. Yes that guy got my grace. I’m not usually one to complain about things but when you mess with my yard, you’re really pushing my limits. I don’t think Tammy has a video channel but she has a blog. He had no right assuming he could do whatever he wanted just bc you was nice enough the first day and let him go ahead and use your electricity. Maybe the company should invest in a portable generator on the work

Lisa, You are a better person than I think I would have been. I would have been furious. I can’t believe they had the guts to come into your yard and just plug in their tools to your house and then mess up your flowerbed. Did that guy just work for the fence company or did he own it?
I think they are just a couple of guys looking for work. They don’t look like professionals or have a truck with a name on it. Just a beat up old pickup. Usually they would put a sign in the yard to advertise or something if they were legit.

I absolutely love this card! I may have to try that bow-but I am all thumbs. I have 2 rolls of that ribbon and so far do not like it all…it is just too thick to work with for me. Hopefully cutting it down the middle this way will help. Oh how I truly love this card though…thank you so much for this video

Love your card. Just beautiful!! On another note, I have noticed men think they can take advantage of women when ever they think they can get away with it. I would have been furious. First I would have unplugged his cord. Then called the company he works for. Ever hear of a rechargeable drill ? I’m sure they go to places where electricity isn’t available. I would make him put your flower bed back like he found it. More work for you. I could say more. You get the picture.

Good Sunday Morn, Lisa! Starting my Sunday off w/a LISA Vitamin n’ my coffee!! :-) YAY! OMG, WHAT A GORGEOUS CARD! I DO LOVE IT! :-) The color palette is lovely and the technique is so cool! I LOVE the WHITEWASH n’ Blended Pink hue w/darkened centers! WOWEE! I LOVE THE BOW! Such a cool idea! I’m wondering if those “locking tweezers” would be helpful as your “third hand”??? They MIGHT make it easier when tying the white ribbon around it! YOU, my friend, did a TERRIFIC JOB w/creating it w/only 2 hands, too!! :-))))) Those Metallic Pearls are PERFECT! Such a gorgeous card! Thank you so much for sharing this BEAUTY w/us! HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! Hi Judith! I'm so glad you got your Lisa Vitamin! LOL! I like that. I am so glad you liked the card. I was so excited by how it came out. I loved the bow. One person commented that she didn't like it however. She said it was too bulky. If you don't like it, then don't comment. I don't understand that. It is bulky but I said don't mail it. Just give it to someone. I have go to work in a little bit. Uggh. I can't wait til I have a few days off after the 17th! I need a break. The fence guys are ridiculous but I don't know what I can really do. I think they were not a real company. Just a couple of guys off the street. I don't think they did a very good job on top of messing with my stuff. I sure hope the new neighbors are nice. I am going to tell them what the fence guys did though.
Love, love, love your card! My Mom taught me how to make those bows when I was a teenager and took on the fun job of wrapping all our cousins Christmas presents. We always made our bows like that, and left the ends long enough to curl - you know with that paper ribbon that you can pull along the edge of your scissors to curl up? I still make our bows like that. I tried to teach my brother, but he couldn't get his fingers to work right he said! I don't use them on cards though, they are too fat, unless you are going to hand deliver them, but it is perfect for this card. Your card is awesome! I used this technique on the magnolia bloom, too. I guess I just need more practice! As to the story, it seems to me the fence builders should have provided their own generator. I would have been furious if it had been my garden. I hope your new neighbours turn out to be okay people.
