It's so important for us men to see the results of not being present in our children's lives.May this story not be just for entertainment but an eye opener of the longing our girls are feeling of love, protection and provision. This is just an opinion from person who could easily be wrong btw
I’m just saying that sure, there’s been movies and interviews conducted regarding the sex work industry but it always seems a bit too Hollywood for me. This one on the other hand hits a lot closer to home. Honestly there’s still a lot sex work stigma & “hush hush” in our respective communities.
This interview helped us piece together how they started off, how they conduct their business and all the dangers they’re exposed too.
You might have overlooked a very important part these guys were able to address.. sex workers are exposed to an enormous amount of danger in their line of business.. even this elite worker till now, didn’t have any security measures in places when visiting her clients.. maybe after this podcast they’ll figure out a safer way of conducting business.
And if your issue is morality!! Take the case of Pulitzer Prize award winner Kevin Carter for his photograph depicting the 1993 famine in Sudan.
That picture was considered extremely immoral but it quickly captivated the world’s attention and in return brought a much needed change .
As journalists by profession myself, morality is sometimes nothing but a barrier to the truth.
We have very few media outlets that could’ve conducted an interview like this.

This podcast was really educational in so many ways and this is what I took away from the podcast:
    1. People that are in this industry are definitely not happy or proud of what their do.
    2. Parents shouldn’t just accept everything their child brings home and not bother to find out the source.
    3. We should actually open up to our kids and speak to them about the world outside their room before they find out from the phone you provide.
    4. No matter how much we struggle in life we should respect ourselves and stay away from things that will haunt us tomorrow.
    5. Once a person loses self-respect and values you become narrow minded.

The trivialisation of the absolute tragedy that is the sex industry is saddening. I wish this degrading industry was never presented as a work option for especially young women. I would love to see an in-depth interview with a sex buyer. The reason they buy sex, what they think of the women they buy... Just as detailed as this one. Light should be shed on why there is such a high demand for prostituting women.

I am a professional nurse working in the Sex Work program, we give health services and psychological support to Sex workers, I just love Wandi's openness about this but I wish she can tell the other challenges they go through, Yooh it is not all glam and beautiful at first I was like what, can a person really go through this and I would judge before working there but now I really understand what sex work is but it's painful but I respect them so much, yes others did it by choice but se have factors that contributed to them doing Sex Work, my wish is that, if people could look it up before judging then they would understand and why we want it to be legalized because the reality is the economy is bad, and they put food on the table and not stealing from anyone. Big ups Wandi for getting your coins but like you say, I also don't wish for you to do it your whole life.
