He's finally getting the spotlight after being type cast as YA actor
Hes been in The Favourite, Newness, Xmen, The Great, Mad Max and sooo much more in the last ten years. He was only cast for YA roles because he was a young adult at the time. He has a pretty diverse acting resume tbh.

I don't think he was typecasted at all. Quite the contrary in fact. The only two movies he was in that were remotely YA were Jack the Giant Slayer and Warm Bodies, and even then it was because he was at that age. The rest of his projects were geared for adults.
