It’s cool that he has a guitar intended for his fanbase, especially the young aspiring musicians, but this really needed to be an Epiphone or something affordable. This could have been a $500 guitar that two parents could afford for a birthday or Christmas or that a teen with a minimum wage job could pick up easily. That is, since Billie mentioned that kids should play it and sticker it and paint it and carve in it.
@@tvnorminstudio3080 they could have made this into a $400 guitar pack with a 10 or 15 watt amp and a gig bag and I would still buy it (all though I probably go off and put in some expensive ass pickup like a Gibson Dirty Finger thats worth more than the guitar)

The way he introduces himself here is great - it takes me back to when I first ever heard of the band - it was back when I liked bands like Offspring over the span of their first albums and I recall an older friend/babysitter saying "if you like Offspring you might also like this band called Green Day". So for him to say "I'm in a high school band called 'Green Day'", that's exactly how I can still remember them.

I adore Billie Joe! And I've been a Green Day fan from the beginning...what I love him and the band is honestly, everything. I'm a punk rocker to the core and love how they have battled the test of time in this industry. I also remember one of the 1st songs I learned to play on guitar was, "Brain Stew." 😁

Gibson's marketing strategy is literally to make status symbols lol. If you want a true, authentic, les paul from the original gibson factory, check out the heritage.

It's not that expensive for a Gibson or even a signature guitar. I own a signature series Gibson that cost me $6,000 and a custom shop Gibson for $3,199. The Billie Joe one goes for $1,299. It's not that expensive for a Gibson, let alone it being a signature series model. Lol.

Billies playing is simple, but sometimes that’s actually the best. He’s got an amazing sense of rhythm and Melody and that dude is a fucking amazing song writer. He shines with song writing. He’s humble and real and a genuine human who loves rock and roll. Lives and breathes it. Even though you may not like green day, the dude behind it is amazing. My hero.
Look, I love Green Day and I love Billie Joe, but that guitar is NOT worth $1500.. For a signature it looks so bland aswell. Also he wants kids to sticker it up? The only people that are gonna buy that is Guitar collectors who wont touch it and really rich parents who want to force their kids to play guitar.
Yeah.....they definitely should've made it an epiphone signature instead. That way the kids probably looking the most to buy it could actually afford it. I also wish they would've kept the P90 in it too, customize it some other way.

God, I'm old. I remember seeing GD at the Philly Convention Center circa '94, BJ climbing up the columns, and onto the balcony section. Now we're both ancient. He still looks good at 46. If you told me back then that in 25 years, Green Day would still be around, and one of only a few remaining rock acts that can fill a major amphitheater, I would've ignored you. Green Day, U2, and the Foo Fighters, the remnants of mainstream rock, go figure.

Critical Mindset I went to a concert back in September of last year for my birthday and I was surprised to see that the arena was packed completely people going crazy in the moshpit it was the best experience I've had im 13 people were so friendly and I'm planning now to start a band with my friends

I play tested this at a guitar shop. I love how playable it is and how great it sounds despite its basic design and controls. Sadly, it’s about a thousand dollars over my budget but still would like to own one

I have a Les Paul junior and the P90 is really noisy but it is a rock and roll machine. Surprising how many different sounds you can get. Just by turning up and down the volume

Definitely, epiphone SL £100, drop in a £100 Seymour or bare Knuckle pickup. £200 for a pretty great guitar and it doesn't really matter if it gets beaten to fuck or drenched in beer. Them epipis are awesome for the price

I've seen how they make Guitars its not the easiest process but they do take some time and make sure they are as perfect as possible. They also need to pay for the machines they use but the guitars are hand made and they all get tested to see if it sounds good.

If you know guitars then you know that the look isn't everything. You could pick one of these up and it could be the best fucking guitar you've ever played. You never know if you just base things on looks.

He mentioned in the video that they were inspired by his first guitar (the "Blue" Fernandes strat, which has a bridge humbucker), and one of the finishes has the same color as Blue.
Also he was using a Les Paul Standard with humbuckers during the American Idiot era, so I think he started using P90s after that.
Benji P.C. Nah, his main rig during American Idiot were juniors with P90s you can see em at Reading Festival, Rock Am Ring 2005 and their Bullet in a Bible concert. That Les Paul gets used randomly. It’s a nice Les Paul though
His junior on Goat island had a humbucker in it and hes used SGs with a humbucker in the bridge as well.

Adolfo- Green Day don't have the same range of musical style as Queen or The Beatles. Nor do they have the same talent as either of those bands. It is not necessary for a band to be "as famous" as a hugely famous band in order for them to be successful.

When the album"American Idiot" was so popular I still have that album CD. A long with 2 other older albums that my dad gave me was Dookie and Nimorod.
