There was a cable TV show, Stories from the E.R., a few years ago about things that happened in the emergency room in various hospitals. in more than one episode, it showed someone having something impaled in their body, even through their head. Do not remove the object; let the medical professionals do it! One of the funniest episodes was when a lady sat down on a toilet and got stuck on it. Her husband had left the seat up. 😂 then there was the other one about the man who was high on marijuana trying to have sex with a campsite barbecue grill and got his dick stuck in it. No, as a retired LEO it's typical of law enforcement officers who are green and no one has reigned them in yet, or someone in law enforcement who knows someone so they don't get fired. In this case, she had a common ailment that can happen with a lot of law enforcement, her ego came first, which often is dangerous, that's how people get shot or killed by law enforcement. Ego and the law is a dangerous mix and those people should never be hired . Situations escalate quickly and naturally that scares the crap out of any citizen . She may have grown up with all brothers and an unhealthy dynamic where she was forced to prove herself every single day . And then her station may be harsh, she's had to be tough in everything. For those saying she's arrogant or ignorant actually look at the context of the situation she is in. The thing i like about this scene is the fact that he didnt remove the post. You see this All the time, people trying to remove objects from the body like this. It does Nothing but expedite your death. Leave the thing inso tou dont bleed out and let the Hospital take care of it. Its what they do.
I'm not joking; this really happened at a state park somewhere.
In fairness, the movie reason is often that they need to be doing shit. Seems to me that leaving something sharp inside you while your running about is gonna both impede you and shred you from the inside.
@@bg3841but removing it creates a massive cavity that expedites bleeding and organ contamination. Nature abhors a vacuum.
@@bg3841first guy is right. You are wrong. I work in a hospital.
If you pull it out you really ain't doing shit, except bleeding out. Better to leave it in, and pad it with bulking materials to help stabilize it.

I'm at the point in life where I tell people once, and when it goes south from them not listening to me, I just continue on with my day.
I'm at the stage where I warn twice, when it still goes up because they either didn't listen, or deliberately ignored my advice, I laugh, usually loudly. That second warning is basically "I've told you once this is a bad idea, you still do this I'm GOING to laugh when it blows up in your face"
End of the day there's a lot of people and a lot of stuff and a lot of people know a lot more about a lot of stuff than I do. Amen.

She's an officer first women second. So yea not calling her officer is disrespectful. A male officer correct him as well
@Shawn-zt3gv Calling someone Sir/ma'am is far more respectful than calling them officer. Calling them officer is only respectful of their position. Calling them Sir/Ma'am is respectful of their person.

In real life you're 100% right but in movies, that's very necessary to do.
He didn’t pull it out of her. He says if I pull it out it will kill you I have to pull it out of the ground. Then when they’re sitting there getting ready to get on the chopper and he says when it hurts try and break his hand it’s still sticking out of her.
He pulled the post out of the ground, not her.
Humility and the ability to listen to others is key.
Basically nobody listens unless they're under some kind of threat or they're star struck. Practicality is long long dead

Driving someone with sheer grit to be tougher than they ever imagined they could be.
My mother in law is this ranger and after she makes a huge stupid decision after I try to talk her out of it, she says no one tried to tell her it was stupid. My one sister in law is the same way and now she doesn't have a car and can't sell her broken car that I told her to sell to someone who wanted it for parts and to turn it into a rock climber. An Isuzu trooper now it holds down the driveway and rots. Some people just don't have any sense.
What do you know a woman who doesn’t listen. None of them listen. When men say women don’t listen it’s different the other way around, because we’re not telling you what to do, we educate and try to guide, BUT you never listen until after the fact.
I think I can one up you unfortunately. me, my aunt, and my grandfather (terrifying combo) were cutting down a 40 foot tree in her backyard. after cutting back we tied a rope around the trunk and my grandfather started cutting the trunk while me and my aunt kept tension on the rope so we could make it fall in the only safe direction... I hear "oh I have an idea" and turn around to see my aunt tying the FUCKING ROPE AROUND HER FAT ASS! she is somehow under the impression that all she has to do to pull this tree that is ACTIVELY BEING CUT down is to lean back! as I'm yelling at her to untie herself, the tree starts to fall...the wrong way. turns out a 40 foot tree weighs more that 280lbs cause it yanks her to the ground and starts tightening around her waist. I am now the only one keeping this tree from falling on a house and launching my aunt into orbit because her dumb ass decided to become the rock IN A GOD DAMN TREBUCHET!!! Eventually my grandfather gets to us, unties her and we manage to wrangle this fucking tree. my opinion suddenly matter now

Not just Law Inforcement in women also!
No, as a retired LEO it's typical of law enforcement officers who are green and no one has reigned them in yet, or someone in law enforcement who knows someone so they don't get fired. I spent a career in it and saw both, and then there's guys like me who just did what we were supposed to everyday and did it with common sense and decency that sadly isn't as common as it once was.

Yea it’s a crying shame. I retired from the Marine Corps 5 years ago. Haven’t had so much as a speeding ticket in the last 27 years. Was driving to Florida and got roped into some kind of traffic sting with mobile county sheriff department in Alabama after dark, they tried to intimidate me and after that didn’t work they let there k9 destroy the paint job on the rental car I was driving. All because I knew I didn’t do anything wrong and demanded the officer tell me why he pulled me over. He made up several things and I called him on his lies. Eventually I collected business cards from each of the 9 officers and told them how they were the issue. They listened quietly as I ranted then I drove away. They were smug and I was furious. They and those like them are why I can’t support police anymore. EVER.

Uh, I don't get it either.
Ego fuelled arrogance
In this case, she had a common ailment that can happen with a lot of law enforcement, her ego came first, which often is dangerous, that's how people get shot or killed by law enforcement. Ego and the law is a dangerous mix and those people should never be hired .
Situations escalate quickly and naturally that scares the crap out of any citizen .
She may have grown up with all brothers and an unhealthy dynamic where she was forced to prove herself every single day . And then her station may be harsh, she's had to be tough in everything.
Doesn't make it right, it's just a possibility.
A normal average healthy guy, would find this unnecessary for her to be this way. Law enforcement is loaded with power hungry A-holes, everywhere in the US. Makes it very hard for the decent folks in law enforcement.
They confuse power with respect .
Male officers get just as pissed if you call them sir and not officer; so settle down.
I'd say she got what she asked for
Sometimes, people gotta learn the hard way. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Offer your help. If they refuse it, it's on them, and you shouldn't feel any kind of responsibility.

Strength generally comes from being unlucky. There's usually no on else around to carry you out of an unlucky situation.
Been around horses since a kid, a horse fly is not gonna cause a horse to rear up, jump etc. They generally use their tail to fan or knock horse flies off!
But drama dictates a scenario that needs prodding and the writer likely has been bit by a horsefly but knows little of horses or expects the audience not to know better!

The lesson here is the writer doesn't know horses. They get bit by horse flys all the time and don't freak out.
Poetic license
did the writer forget a horse's tail is for whipping irritating bugs off its ass?
This isn’t exactly true. If they bite them in the right spot they will go nuts. At our barn we had one that bucked until he accidentally caught his hind leg between a gate and a post, and ripped the hell out of his leg. Permanently injured him. To be fair, it was a rather mentally challenged horse.
