I never noticed the tomatoes by the window in the ambush apartment! And you'll notice that shut door at the first right past the entryway, and how the ambushers were hiding in there until they snuck up on you. Awesome details from ND.

Yeah the gameplay truly is a 10/10. Personally I also think the story is. Clearly the game is a masterpiece in terms of craft. But I do understand why some players didn't get it.
Agreed, 100%. Probably my second favorite game of all time, next to Red Dead 2. I don't think I have ever played a story so beautiful yet so mean-spirited, violent, and cruel in my 30 years of playing video games.
There’s people that “get it” that still think the writing is majorly flawed. This “didn’t get it” take has been disproven in tons of videos. It isn’t as complex a tale as people make it out to be and it has been done much better in other media.
I think yall are misunderstanding what I meant by "get it". I meant you aren't getting from the story what we are. In that sense you're not "getting it". I don't mean as in you can't comprehend.
@@brandonnumbskull58this people think we’re just stupid or something when that isn’t the case like I said in a previous comment on a video of hers we can’t really discuss it or the points us “haters” have because a lot of it happens throughout the game it isn’t just cause “Joel died me angry” that’s actually one of the least important complaints (although it is a valid criticism) I won’t get into others until she reaches them but I doubt people will listen or they’ll even remember me or this comment. Reasoning: for his death being “bad” Why bill the game like he’ll be the main character again and disrespect your franchise lead like that but to each their own I guess and before I catch a “but what about Sarah” Sarah wasn’t on the poster game cover or in the trailers as a main character she was also used as shock factor (like Joel was) and they just wanted to try to live up to that flame they created with the Sarah bit but ultimately it fell short in this. for a multitude of reasons character assassination through dialogue ie naming himself and saving random survivors “why don’t you come back with us and restock “tommy”(in this game) and actively going against dialogue in this game stating that he’s paranoid and aware not soft (like others have already stated) as well as built upon lore from the previous game. Sequencing they clearly could have had more time with him and Ellie but choose not to (for reasons I can’t say because she hasn’t gotten that far and I won’t be that guy to spoil to prove a point) those of you who played know what “problem” they arbitrarily created with how they sequenced his death and him dying isn’t the problem it’s the timing and how it was created

Appreciate you for being a sweetheart. We’re in a point in time where people will unfortunately refuse to let any form of grey area/middle ground to exist when it comes to differing opinions. Those trying to enjoy something just end up having their passion caught in the crossfire of it all. They’re the ones who suffer the most by being in the middle, while everyone is as polarizing as can be. It’s been almost 5 years since this game came out. People reject the possibility that someone can believe in the opposite of what they do. They’ll censor them. Tear them down. Take away their potential enjoyment. It’s not healthy. It’s not fair. But such is life. At least we’re here, enjoying it with her and hoping that she can and that she will, in spite of all that’s surrounding this game.
Yeah, in a perfect world everyone would just be respectful and nice to one another despite our differences. We all have very different life experiences and interpret things differently (especially with the help of societal, cultural, and religious values). Many of us would also make different choices too! I respect those that didn't like the game. They are totally fine for feeling that way, but so are those who enjoyed it and interpreted the story differently!

After watching this, im really starting to despise Ellie. They killed Joel but Joel killed so many more people. Then Ellie is killing so many people. If they had killed her, they would still be alive. But they showed her mercy and ended up dead.
Each of her targets has killed a lot of people too, remember. Everyone's got blood on their hands in this world. But yes, Ellie's journey toward the Dark Side is a major element of the story. Can she find a way back? Or will it consume her? Keep watching to find out!
Don’t you just hear his screams Nora cried and than she’s half dead this part is probably one of the best parts it has everything the infected scars and off course wlf wonderful stuff thanks for playing glad you’re enjoying it after all what happened looking forward to seeing more see ya sooner than later bye 🙋♂️
20:49 WLF Target List … Ji-So, Andre, Chris and Adam are the innocent people you murdered at 27:12. You looked everywhere except the bedroom door on your left at 29:02 where they were all hiding. Unfortunately there was a manual among other items in there… for next time! The game has great reply value. It would be great on PC (April) even if just for the added “No Return” mode that you do after completion.
Also when you dropped down on that guy from above in the courtyard, you can also jump off the ledge and hit square to drop onto enemies Uncharted style with your knife and stab them to death instantly (I think it's quiet?) Little things they don't tell you that can be helpful.
Idk if you got that hint card on death yet, but in case you didn't, the enemies get really accurate when you sprint straight at them while they are fully aware of you. They are also more likely to land a headshot on you. Inversely, sprinting to the side or directly away from them decreases their ability to land their shots on you. Dodges might in theory also count for avoiding shots, or at least they feel that way when I play.
Hotline Miami, the game the WLF woman was playing on the PSP, is fucking incredible too if you haven't played it. Highly recommend if you want a blood-soaked arcade shooting time.
I don't know if you caught it because the dialogue only triggered once or so, but the dog that Ellie kills in the courtyard of the WLF hospital is named Bear 🥲
I've never heard of this audio issue before but it does seem to be plaguing your playthrough. I notice we don't seem to be hearing it. If it's not appearing in the recording, how are you connecting your headset? I assume you're using a capture card for recording which seems to be capturing the audio fine, but I'm wondering which connection method you're using for your personal audio. Also do you use the same headset for other games, including non-PS5 ones? Is this issue only noticeable in this game, all PS5 titles, only when you're recording, or anything like that?
omg i cant believe i didnt die - 10 secconds later, dies. Your type of playng is so more realistic than others that i have watched. u are scared of dying , othets was not :D so u put this realism to the game makes it more interesting to watch
There's a setting you can change on ps5 where you can hold a button and a ping will send out. It'll tell you where the items are around you. You can also change a setting so you can auto loot. You won't have to press the pickup button every time you find loot.
Personally I really like the accessibility option to ping for loot, especially in subsequent replays, if you're into that sort of lightly immersion breaking but time-saving option
This is where the writing is kind of weak imo. Your supposed to feel all bad inside aww i no want to hit girl violence bad :((( Bro anyone with a spine, and any slight hint of revenge would turn that girl into ground meat. You literally beat my step dad to death and then after I catch you you fornite emote on his memory asking if I remember his screams? Na baby you getting golf club treatment too and not an iota of bad will i feel.
I don't think that really has to do with the story though... the game isn't trying to force the player to feel a specific thing. Some people were totally fine hitting that button, others not as much. As people we interpret things differently. I don't think it has to do with whether someone has a spine or not. The writing makes sense in this case because Ellie, someone who is filled with anger and rage, wants revenge. She got that info out of Nora, and the player makes the decision on whether she did the right thing or not. That is what's so great about this game. It allows the player to think for themselves in a way.
@@IntroXietyGaming Valid I still like the game its just this moment and then one thing other thing I feel they left out after you beat the full game.
