Our beloved Colin Firth gives a masterful performance that elevates the film to new heights. His ability to convey the emotional complexities of his character, King George VI, is simply exceptional. Colin manages to capture the internal struggle, vulnerability, and ultimately triumph with moving authenticity. His performance is the backbone of the film, providing a deep emotional connection with the audience. Not surprisingly, his outstanding performance was recognized with a well-deserved Oscar award, solidifying his place as one of the film industry's most notable actors. "Firth's mastery of 'The King's Speech' is a testament to his innate talent and ability to bring characters to life in an unrivaled way." I love you Colin.
What I notice, as a Texan watching this delightful panel, is the British tendency, particularly with Firth, to mutter. It's actually quite craft as a technique, intentional or not, because it will motivate the listeners to try harder to catch every word. This film has been a favorite since it was released, and I love the beautiful Claire Bloom in anything. I've been a fan of hers since the early sixties as a little boy when she did "The Haunting" with Julie Harris.
He speaks about the stupid R Rating of the film, joking about the similarities to Saw 4 in 3D (horror movie), '... I decapitate my speech therapist and disembowel Queen Mother...' :D
Helena looks so uncomfortable...and the interviewer is so boringgg...helena was so funny when the interviewer is not boring...ugh...hate this...but i love colin and helena...i mean all the cast😂👌🔥🥵
Re the prince John and his epilepsy , George V and Queen Mary loved John and spent a lot of time with him and asked all the local children if they would like to come and play with John. Every weekend the prince would come and visit the queen mum Queen Alexandria.
Has anybody noticed how difficult it is for the British actors to really understand the American interviewer? It makes perfect sense, because they speak different languages...:)))))
To all 3 above. Totally agree that the interviewer was appalling. Didn't project his voice and he clearly doesn't understand British humour. Helena and Colin went over his head. Almost as bad was his lack of knowledge of the Royal Family history. Queen Mary married George because her chosen husband...King to be...died. So she married the next king to be. She was drilled with loyalty to the Crown and responsibility. I felt sorry for her.
It is amazing to me how bad these famous and wonderful actors are with using microphones. But of course, they are not used to speaking into mics! Interesting...
Helena Bonham Carter is only the reason why this interview remained balance. She's the funny bit. 🤣😅

Colins so cute omg
Very good insight with Actors and Director of a Masterpiece. Even if words can never convey the Value of Team Work in a Production of a Masterpiece 🌟
Helena is such a delight to watch ♥️
They all handled the stupid questions extremely well, true professionals
Colin talking a lot is a blessing
How did this interviewer score this panel?
the interviewer just doesnt get the humor wtf lol

God what a bloody awful interviewer and I think the cast felt the same way about him too!

In future, please give them mics that attach to their clothes. The mics here are just awkward.
Just wow😍
Wish Colin Firth himself could run a channel..☺
That would be great. Or if he had a social media account.
This channel is doing great indeed..☺but somebody please tell him to give an easy access to his fans..or atleast visit Pakistan once..😐
Es muy buen actor. Beca para mi para ir a hacer actuación a Inglaterra por meses nada más
Que simpática ella Mary

Mihaela Tudor he’s not the best interviewer

Off topic, but am I the only one who wants to buy poor Colin a balloon that works after watching the new Mary Poppins? 😢😢😢
Lol... No, you're not the only one. Poor bad banker. :D
Всеобъемлющая любовь, это дар от Бога. Любовь и труд к профессии, дали свои плоды. Чему многие рады от ваших работ!♥️♥️♥️♥️

Oh and Edward VIII was a very nasty man. He wrote Horable letters about Prince John and was forced to apologise to George V and Queen Mary
I love Helena’s lazy, punchy kind of goth Punky Brewster vibe.
Lmaoooo Helena looks so bored
HBC also appears somewhat aghast at this interview's ignorance. Can't blame her.
FİNALLY!!!
I know everybody has their ups and downs, but Colin looks sad in this interview here, which in turn makes me sad too. Or is it just me?
POIVRON he is sick, they mention it near the end
Right! Thanks for the explanation! 🙏
Colin has too few good movie roles! It's a shame! Because he's a brilliant actor!
