You forgot some parts! The Pine grouse hitting you in the chest and being stuck there while we were carrying the canoe! The Cow and Calf Moose on the portage that were very close when we came walking around a bend in the trail. The cliff we had to drag the canoes up in the almost dark when we finally found the last camp site. And the trailer fiasco on the way home.
The trailer fiasco will need to go in another video, I'll have to use fake names to protect the guilty parties. That canoe trip had everything, it would have been a lengthy bunch of videos if RUclips was around back then. I likely forgot more than I remember. However, here is another addition...on the second or third day we attempted to go down a creek instead of doing a short portage, may have been Erables into Maple?, of course I was in the front of the canoe and the tall grass was all around us, with our buddies in the canoe behind us. We got in just so far until we heard the clomping of some large animal coming towards us. A reversal in paddling was needed and we banged into the canoe behind us yelling at them to go back. It was a winding stream and paddling straight back was not possible. We barely backed out when we saw this moose coming out of the grass towards us.
