The Dest red was pretty straight forward. But I don't agree with the Weston red. They literally push/pulled him to the Mexico bench. He had like 8 sets of hands on him. At some point doesn't it just become self defense to try to get yourself out of the situation?

The Red card rule should be adjusted. What happens too many times in games like this is the losing team starts fights to get as many players kicked out to impact the winning teams chances going forward, and the refs won't control it. Now the US is in the finals without 2 of their best players due to scuffles they didn't start. Crazy!

As a chicano, I grew up loving Mexico and rooting for the US. As I grew up, I realized how childish and undignified a lot of Mexican fans are. When I was litle, I mistakenly thought they were yelling "Futbol" at goal kicks, which seemed fun. It wasn't until I saw American fans being escorted from their caged area in the Azteca, bloodied from bottles thrown their way, that I fully converted. It still hurts to realize that there was no fall from grace for Mexico but rather learning that they never had any to begin with.

Not just the performance, their behavior as well. I root for the USMNT, but I also root for Mexico (when not playing the US) because I love Mexico and its people, but yesterday's behavior was just not acceptable. In my view, Mexican soccer is reeling, while the USMNT is coming up. That is frustrating for the players, and I think that frustration is being shown in their behavior. So while I understand why the players are acting childishly, it is wholly unacceptable and the Mexican fans need to call them out.

These were my favourite games to play in. Only happened a few times in my youth "career", but man were they fun.
Can someone explain to me how Jorge Sanchez not only escapes getting sent off, he didn't even get yellow, how is that? How did we get convinced that Mexico shouldn't be a man down? Montes gets obvious red, that stands alone, and McKennie and Sanchez should suffer the same fate be it red or yellow. Sanchez head butts McK and undresses him and gets nothing? Crazy awful officiating

All i know is there have been two cases of Mexican players grabbing McKennie's throat in years past and neither of them (Herrera and Guardado) received a straight red for it. There needs to be consistency. USA were basically playing 11v15 in this match and still won 3-0

It was in Vegas. I was there, and the fans for mexico filled up 80% of the arena. The atmosphere in the stands was just as heated as the game. MX fans fighting U.S fans, MX fans fighting other MX fans. Things were starting to get real chaotic after the first brawl, we had to get out of there.
No matter where you go there will always be more mexico fans than us you can even try somewhere like Kentucky we'll be there 🇲🇽

The referee didn't look like he was on top of the game. And it's weird to see Alvarez and Ochoa both with a yellow while the first started a fight and the second tried to end it

The referee is Ivan Barton of El Salvador. I went to the United States-Mexico game in 2021, and the was the referee in that one as well. For the most part, it was officiated well, except for two moments - when Rodriguez almost gouged out Aaronson's eyes as the U.S. was getting ready to take a free kick, and Rodriguez only got a yellow, and Miles Robinson getting a second yellow (when they were already winning 2-0, to be fair) for what looked like Herrera slipping. And it was November in Cincinnati, so there was a lot of light sleet and cold that night.
