I love any movie with Lance Henriksen. I mentioned this movie to Lance at a convention when I was getting my copy of "Pumpkinhead" signed and he said no one ever brings up that movie. We talked about how originally his character was suppose to be a lot more religious, kinda a cult leader, and he toned it down and basically ad libbed all his lines. Fucking legend.

The barber that cut my hair as a teen had a picture of "The Boz" on a corkboard where different hairstyles were featured. He once told me that some kid came in there and wanted that exact cut, so he spent quite some time trying to get the perfect replica of it. Kid gets done, walks outside and horrifies his Mom, who makes him walk back in and get a burr.

The helicopter is not the only similarity to Terminator films. Robert Winley was the biker Arnold stole his outfit from in Terminator 2. Lance Hendrickson was in Terminator 1. Also, the bike flying out the window into the helicopter was similar to how the t1000 acquired the helicopter in T2...

I fuckin LOVE Stone Cold. It's cheesier than a bag of Cheetos. Bosworth was INSANE. Lance Henriksen and Bill Forsythe were outrageous. You gotta check out another Lance Henriksen biker gem called Savage Dawn. It's from '85. It's actually got a good cast: George Kennedy and Karen Black also star. It's fuckin nuts. I would recommend Near Dark, but it's actually very good movie. Haha. How the hell do you not have more subs, man? You guys are awesome!

Man, this movie really is a testament to why 80s/early 90s action movies have still a strong fanbase. Even though opinions in regards to the Boz's NFL career are polarised, i think that in the realm of movies he is pretty much iconic. Stone Cold was actually his only really big movie that broke out in the world of cinema but it has left a kind of legacy that is still present, if you are fan of raw old school action cinema. Had he been given a stronger film contract, for instance with Cannon Movies, he could have easily become as big as Chuck Norris/JCVD/Dolph Lundgren. His style is instantly recognizable, especially his iconic hair which even by 80s standards is super unique. What is defined today as the modern mullet is just the Boz haircut with some slight alterations. The Boz pretty much invented todays 'modern mullet' style in the 1980's, that's how unique he was. I have a mullet myself and after watching Stone Cold a few years ago, i tried to pull off his hair but the result wasn't that good haha. I ended up going back to the classic mullet, the Boz's hairstyle is indeed hard to copy. Other than that, Mr. Bosworth really had the confidence and the wits to become the next big action star. Correct me if i am wrong but from what i read about this movie, the Boz pretty much carried it all by himself that's why it turns out to be a very solid debut. This man didn't get the chance to succeed in the NFL and in the movies his career didn't go forward because of the changing trends in cinema, nevertheless he has retained a cult status. I found out more about him thanks to my love for oldschool action, so other action aficionados will probably come across him too. All the best to you guys and everybody, happy New Year. I hope that some day this kind of cinema will come back, there is still a strong fanbase in the world that wants it :)
