I was in the AD in Bath yesterday getting a strap adjustment made & was quietly offered the “coke” Tudor 58 GMT. Snapped it up for my Christmas present: it was most definitely an elective type of sale: only the second one they’ve seen supposedly, but I’ve bought six or eight Tudors from them over the years.
I’ve been truly considering Breitling as my first elevated (to me) luxury watch purchase. I like the SO Heritage and some of the 90’s and early 2000’s chronograph models. Been a subscriber for a while, glad to see you back.
Another great video and sensible advice, far from the nonsense that we can see on many RUclips watches channels. In my case, for three years now I have had the five watches that I always wanted and since I like to wear and use all of them, for me, it is more than enough. I don’t want to sell any and I don’t want any more watches either. 5 is the perfect number for me despite I understand that everyone is different. Thank you so much and see you in the next one.
Pre-Richemont, Panerai's are terrific you get a historic design with brand heritage. How about a room tour? I am sure a lot of us would like to see what else you collect and what other things peak you interest. I see a Eames Lounger & Ottoman so it is evident that you have a eye for iconic designs.
It’s crazy to think anyone would find it interesting haha, I’ll keep it in mind. This room looks nothing like the rest of my house, it’s basically my man cave. Appreciate it, I do love mid century modern. Have some Barcelona chairs in the living room.
Very interesting! Have you ever owned a Glashütte Panomatic? I tried it on because I loved the looks and the fantastic caliber quality. But I didn't find it very comfortable and also a bit thick for a dress watch. Compared to e.g. a Santos that watch wears much more comfortable. And regarding Rolex Cellini.....do you know the Cellini Prince? I really love that watch as a dress watch. But it's all very personal.....
I agree, the Panomatic is a bit thick for sure. Haven’t owned one yet but would. And yes…I do honestly love the Prince, it’s the exception to the rule. If I found a good one I’d get it.
Absolutely! The person makes the watch, the watch does not make the person. I cringe every time I hear someone assign a watch as masculine. Keep them coming, I have enjoyed you channel. Cheers, Jock
Just when I thought I was getting out of the watch addiction……. This guy pulls me back in!!!!
Haha, sorry not sorry...
Great to see you back....love your takes

Thanks for sticking around! I don’t think you could go wrong with any of those. I had a Breitling Colt as one of my first big purchases and loved it!
Finally someone that speaks real life watch ownership…great channel

Very good vid… very good advice. There are also some great deals on El Primeros, especially the neo-vintage stuff
So true!
For what it’s worth, I find myself drooling over Breitlings all the time and it’s not just because of the value proposition
I'm glad to hear that, I feel the same.

Cartier Roadster Chrono XL has been on my radar for the last year
Yes, it's on mine too!
HEY JAY - YOUR EAMES CHAIR? A REPLICA OR A REAL ONE?
Where have I seen that display cabinet before? 🤔
Hahah, indeed. Down in Australia perhaps…
The breitling navitimer is my favourite alot of watch channels look down on breitling but looks wise they have some of my favourite watches
Same!
My favorite Chronograph is the Zenith Chronomaster Revival panda dial 😉
You always have great taste!
No mention of Zenith? Wow.
Yeah, I messed that up
