    Feel like Jayden has played pretty well so far. He looks poised and gets the ball out quick. He hasnt made many throws across the middle or been pressured very much. Also worried about him sliding as you mentioned. As a commanders fan I feel like I’ve seen enough to say I think we have our guy. Excited for the future.

    On the video you can tell that JD thought about sliding ( or getting down ) after he knew he had the first down.......but he hesitated because his instincts told his brain that sliding is not a natural play for him and he doesn't trust his ability to do it. As an old minor league baseball player, I can tell you that sliding is not as easy as people think. Hopefully the coaches will keep working with him so he can make sliding a natural motion for him. If this kid is this good now, I can't wait to see him three, four years from now. But trust the slide.

    • @RonnieBelle-lx6np
      @RonnieBelle-lx6np 4 месяца назад

      He’ll be ok. These days none of the QBs slide much at all in today’s league. They really don’t practice it much like years past in college or in the league. If you print it’ll become natural which is the reason you don’t see it much at all

    crazy to me how the media is drooling over caleb williams after he started the game with three straight 3 and outs with most of the bears starters in vs the bengals 2nd team. but because he made two throws vs 3rd and 4th stringers, everyone is completely ignoring how he just finished preseason 10/20 with 0 passing tds, with the vast majority of his snaps against 2nd, 3rd and 4th stringers. meanwhile daniels had 3 incompletions, and looked like he was in complete command of the offense, and its crickets.

    I liked that Washington came out no huddle in the first drive. I’ve said for years that I don’t understand why the no huddle isn’t run more often. The Bills of the early-mid 90s were consistently a top offense and they ran the no huddle constantly. It was their bread and butter.
    It’s far more difficult for a defense to adjust to a no huddle than it is for an offense.
    From your perspective as a long-time NFL QB, why do you think teams don’t run more no-huddle offenses? It seems like a no-brainer to me. Especially with how complicated offenses have become. I can see it absolutely devastating a defense, giving them no rest and no time to think.

    Heres why I don't think any of this matters. As stated in the beginning, a LOT of his passes were screen passes. red flag? Washington has a LONG history of utilizing the screen pass when they can't pass the ball. Decades of watching Washington use the same screens over & over, especially in long situations. It's the one play every team has mastered AGAINST Washington. It's been utilized by QB's/teams that can't read the Defense, Like RG3. We've seen this before and it's never worked out well. I blame poor coaching, and the teams overall losing culture.
    I hope I am wrong, it would be nice to see a winning season again before i walk my last steps.

    Problem I have with these analysts and all these coaches these days is the game has become micromanaged and completely mental. There’s no room for error and if you don’t do things exactly by the book in terms of what your coach wants you will never be a starter in the league. And it’s too bad because no risks are taken anymore, mistakes and interceptions are magnified, and everyone is just trying to play conservative to appease their OC. Every play call is soft and trying to run quick hitting “low risk” plays and essentially create running plays on the outside for short fast guys as well. Deep shots are all setup but no one just says it’s my guy Vs their guy against press man anymore and just starts throwing it up to their outside receiver. The guys who still do that are the better QBs in the league, but the league has changed and the players are more talented but the coaches are more hamstrung by their need to control every facet of the game

    I am very optimistic about my team finally lol. I really hope the whole team can stay healthy & i hope our o-line provides good protection for JD! With the additions of Eckler & Ertz i think we can be very good this year if our defense plays decently! We need a really good safety & 1 good corner, i think Forbes is going to be good so 1 more to play opposite him. Im sure our o-line still needs a little work too. But all in all, im excited about this team! JD5 is gonna be a beast!

    That’s not a big hit. More like a reach for something critical. If he can’t take that hit he can’t play in the league!

    Jason "lil Debbie" Whitlock said this was the worst QB class since 2010.

    Guys let's remember this is football. You get hit sometimes. Some people are better at protecting themselves. Daniel's has no injury history to talk of
