This leads to exposure of idol's privacy life as you can see many TVs behind Jihyo and some stans don't want Kang Daniel/Jihyo to be together and could be about Jihyo's anxiety towards the public about something related to prostitution cuz she is involved even though she found not guilty like the whole South Korea knew the news. To really appreciate this song, here are the underlying feels that this song has. First, the girl in the 2:03, she's Mina btw, she was on hiatus that time because of extreme anxiety. And it is the first time that they performed as 8 members, promoting and going on a world tour. So reading those lyrics from her, makes it more emotional, it really speaks abt her situation that time. The second thing is the concept of the MV itself. Chaeyoung and Mina at 2:19, signifies that "You make me feel special even if I secluded myself from this world" Momo and Tzuyu at 2:58, signifies that "You make me feel special even though we have differences" Sana and Dahyun at 3:47, signifies that "You make me feel special even if the world turns its back on me" Nayeon and Jihyo at 3:53, signifies that "You make me feel special even if we're far from each other" Jeongyeon at 3:34, signifies that "I make myself feel special" Also, the girls that seems to be down on the MV, they're the ones who actually got through something, hate, involvement from scandal rumors, dating, anxiety. Twice as a musical group has always been about "love", that's why they received so much hate as ppl used to criticize them as being too simple but the thing is, their music is about a heart maturing. They started with "Like Ooh Ahh" which tells a story abt wanting to feel something new (first love), then it goes throw a platonic love in "TT", then taking the lead and going after who they like in "Fancy", just to describe the love that gave them strength to face hard times in "Feel Special", now M&M and I Can't Stop Me are both about a matured love and complex relationship just to have a twist with "Cry For Me", that finally describes the hardships in a relationship, where a couple can end up hurting each other. Anyways, Twice's discography itself is a beautiful poetic work and it makes me happy that you are appreciating it.

I don't know if i was the only one thinking this but i really think that TWICE's dancing skill as a group and even individually is quite underrated/ unappreciated much. They are literally strong dancers.
So the happy and sad melodic elements you picked up on is because they are changing key from minor, which sounds sad, to major, which sounds happy. What's really powerful about how they do it here is that they don't take a harmonic route through different chords to set up the change, but go directly from the minor to major. This creates an almost tonal whiplash effect which makes the transition really stand out. It's not something you typically hear often in western pop music, but hear sometimes in Kpop. Couple that with a drastic half tempo breakdown into a buildup before the chorus and you get that huge special hit when the chorus lands. And I love your attention to detail in the choreo. I've made charts for rhythm games, and while dancing has much more to work with in how you move your body, in both rhythm games and dancing you are limited rhythmically if you want to follow elements of the music itself. You can of course use movements that subdivide a beat in the music, but if you want to compliment the music, it's usually more appropriate to pick certain rhythmic elements from the music to emphasize with specific motions. I find it super interesting that there's such a parallel between two seemingly quite different things. Bit in both cases you are finding a way to interpret music in a way that both respects the music and works to enhance and emphasize different elements of the music.
That one umbrella of Dahyun basically represents ONCES that is Twice Candybong pattern meaning ONCES are there for Twice protecting Twice and Twice members make each other Feel Special when they feel down like they are nothing it represents Twice friendship and Mina was alone in that forest alone sad because of her anxiety she took a long break and she was afraid that people will forget her afraid to come out again that was her feelings but Chaeyoung came to her and she Feel Special again 😊
