I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music was my coping mechanism from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and it's stuck by me ever since. When I made this RUclips name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so... OG + KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

Not a dance battle. It’s a famous scene from the movie pulp fiction. Almost every shot is a movie reference. No judgement though. A lot of the movie references are dark and not actually romantic lol.
@@strngenchantedgirl it’s interesting because every movie portrays a different form of love (self love, romantic love, parental love etc) so even tho some of the movies are dark, they still touch on the subject of love in them hence the song and MV about TWICE asking What is Love and exploring the different forms

I dont think twice wins again:( but i will be so happy if they win, Twice is my favorite group ever.

I always pay a lot of attention to what you say, specially when it comes to the dance moves, but whenever you watch their MVs, I look at your face just to see one thing that whoever watch Twice have in common: the smile that comes without fail. That's one of the things I love the most about Twice. They can make people genuinely smile, no matter who is watching. And that knowledge makes my Once heart feel full of pride. 😍

In 2014 they made a profit, this continued in 2015, in 2016, 2PM and Suzy were the biggest money makers, this would then be Got7 for 2017 where JYPark and Got7 have claimed to help buy the new building.
TWICE's financial contribution was the rise of JYPE's Stock Prices largely due to their entry into the Japanese Market

One of the big reason TWICE is so big, is because their music especially TITLE TRACKS can be enjoyed by a wider range of age groups
From kids to adults, people can enjoy their music if they are able to break past the prejudice of CUTE CONCEPTS BEING CRINGY & WEIRD especially in a FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Many people had this prejudice thus they had to learn to grow away from it and enjoy TWICE fully
Many people are still put off by the CUTE CONCEPTS yet TWICE has grown away from these prejudices very well and have broadened their musicality in order to appease a wider audience
That's why they are taking up more mature concepts these past few years
I still think they are under appreciated for the amount of great music they put out but yea we can't force people to stan them so !!
The thing is, once you start watching to Twice, is just impossible to not like them. Even if their songs are not your style, they will make you fall in love with them with their personalities. After that you can just enjoy and experience the happy feel they give off. That's how I became a Once and how Twice became my favourite kpop group. Also, Once is an amazing fandom. Most of Once are mature and don't engage in stupid stuff. 😁😍

They're always showing each other's bad side, making crazy stuff when receiving wins, doing weird faces, and they also have a more normal relationship towards fans, like we're friends. Like, they love to make us go crazy with spoilers (or not), they're always clowning us, we've been called pervs. I mean, don't that makes you feel like we're actually friends with them, like we know them? I know that there's a lot we don't know, but I still feel that "friendship comfy" vibe and I reeeeally love that about them.
And moreover, TWICE is versatile
They can easily switch up if they want to but sadly JYPE is kinda a hindrance considering they don't allot that many PRE RELEASE SINGLES unlike other BIG GROUPS
TWICE with BREAKTHROUGH & HAPPY HAPPY have shown that they can seamlessly tackle any concept but yea JYPE chooses not to give them additional promotional singles which is bummer

The craziest thing about TWICE MVs is that they have a storyline, where they go from looking love ( *WHAT IS LOVE?* and *LIKEY* for example )up the love meter ( *FANCY* and *FEEL SPECIAL* ) all the way to addiction ( *MORE & MORE* and *I CAN'T STOP ME* )
Sometimes I really miss this Twice it brings back memories & feels nostalgic in a way.
This is the song that made me fall in love with Twice. I saw Lisa doing the dance and wanted to know what song it was. And I fell down the rabbit hole deep into Twiceland. I’m not a cute concept person but Twice is so authentically cute and feminine that it doesn’t bother me. I never thought I would like a group with so many members or with a cute concept but here we are. JYP has always done an amazing job showing the individual personalities of the members and I think that why it’s so easy to fall in love with them.

Twice is big believer in doing what comes naturally - best music befitting their age, singing that fits their music and message they want to convey, dancing that fits into emotions they want to express. They don't do badass just to show off, they don't over vocalize songs merely to prove their singing prowess, they don't add complicated dances unless it is called for. It's why once you get to know Twice, cute Twice is just natural and likable, not unbearable like when other groups try to do cute.
I know heart shaker is the next, but i can't wait for likey that comes next because there's a momo break❤️

WIL has landed 😅. Personally, WIL is my favorite MV concept from them because it's so smart and fun at the same time. It just makes you want to dance or sing along. with this song and MV they show how since none of them have ever actually been in love, each one has a different perspective and perception of what love is which is shown through the movie each of them chooses, and you can even see how while one of them is interested or curious about a movie other is bored or even annoyed because to them love is something completely different

Also, also.... I think this song was also the song that broke Twice's back on the cutesy concepts. While obviously played up as a joke for variety shows, their responses when asked to show their reactions when shown the song that JYP had written exclusively for them was nothing short of priceless. You could almost hear the "REALLY, Jin-young?!" in their "not amused" faces. 😂😂

so yeah that's my take, and also i believe they referenced these movies alomg with its aesthetics. bc the mv did really had a beautiful concept.
