Nice work, Chris! As a travel creator myself, I know it's not always easy to film nonstop like that, when you're interacting with someone or buying stuff and you pull it off nicely. Muy bien! Gracias, hermano!
Thanks so much for the kind words bro! I appreciate it so much! I hope all is going well for you!
Im not trying to be rude but i dont think it was very nice thing to say "im just buying it to help you" to that old shopkeeper...but i guess, you didn't mean it in a mean or disrespectful way or anything.
Shut up honestly no 1cares if u thought it was disrespectful
@@reece9927 clearly you did care enough to reply, strange man
What a great video Chris!!! Is amazing how you interact with the locals! Even though you didn’t need the towels you bought them, that was so nice of you!

İm living in turkey, its so hard to live on the influsion. This video maked me sad and i almost cried. İ dont have any words to describe it. İm so worried about our future. 🥺😥😢
Influsion? Did you mean inflation?
I would like to try the apple tea. Tasty! I would be drinking pomegrante juice everyday too. They are expensive in Ontario, Canada.
Istanbul is one of d most beautiful and important cities historically in the world
Omg. You inspired me 🤩

Ive seen a few youtubers like yourself, discover tool alley in Karakoy, starting at the Topane end...you all miss the best part!..is you keep going, you will find an old two story arched building , (like older than time itself!)..still workshops inside, but also the most amazing art gallery..at night also this area also has secret latin dance clubs and many cool bars..
Thanks for the tips! I will definitely be back again!
Love your videos. Great personality . You absolutely shine 💡💡💡

Useful video! and I think is a nice gesture to buy their products to help them out, but I find unnecessary to tell them that and even worse, say you do not want the product! 😅

Hey Chris - Thanks for your Istanbul vids Very helpful. We really want to follow in your footsteps this Fall. How can we find the vendor in the Bazaar that invited you for tea and sold you the coffee pot thing?
I tried looking for his instagram again it couldn't find it! I can just say that he is not far from the front entrance coming from the Egyptian Bazaar
Thanks a lot for the support Charles!
@@Travelwithchris Hey Chris- You rock!

Hey Chris, do you think you could drop a pin for where the jacket shop was? I'd love to visit it. How pricey were the jackets?
Man I'd love to but unfortunately I have no idea! ahaha you can't miss them though if you visit the bazaar! He is near the entrance coming from the Egyptian bazaar!
@@Travelwithchris Makes sense, its a jungle of streets - I'll keep an eye out, thanks!
Jimmy should have purchased the sweater. It looked very sharp on him. All the food and shops were amazing. Is a woman allowed to shop unescorted there?
Yes I agree! I liked it also! Not too sure, to be honest I didn't really notice that while I was in there mainly because I was so focused on filming...... wow crazy. I can't believe I didn't notice that
you dont have to be worried about traveling Istanbul alone as a woman. Very modern and respectful place
@@lm10n1 ty!
How much do the tea/coffee sets go for?
Wowww
My parents were just there for 2 weeks. And was so scared to go outside their hotel, they stayed in their rooms the entire 2 weeks, eating only breakfast. 😑 why even travel? Miserable
wow that sucks because Istanbul is amazing!
What are they scared of? Where are they from?
What store had that cashmere jacket and how much was it?
it was right in front of the main entrance to the grand bazaar, if you were coming up through the Egyptian bazaar
What’s the best way to exchange dollars to turkey money?
lov ur vids bro ,

hey thank you so much! Just a plain t shirt from H&M!
That's really tight.

Wow that toastie was really pricey i get a full english breakfast with drink for about 12 TL obvs wen you hungry ya belly has no price tag haha
ahahah exactly! I felt so dumb for buying that, but needed it! lol
Post inflation update?
If you really want to Istanbul on the cheap DON'T shop at the grand bazaar, a total tourist trap !
True very true
turkish donut try chocolate one grand bazar is expensive place also try local market
yes I completely agree with you!
How much were the jackets?
Like 75 USD
If you earn turkish lira, istanbul is not paradise, it is hell for you. %50 of turkish people are in financial difficulties
yes I completely agree with you!
Is the situation really that bad?
Really??? Only $20????? 🙀
Yes dude!! This one will be fun!
Now is 100 Dollar = 1600TLira crazy
Good vlog
Thank you 🙏
Can u please tell me the location of the pomegranate juice stand in Istanbul
sorry! I don't know the exact location of this one but they are literally on every corner! :)
Bro it’s very cheap I am going there I fly to India and will take Turkish airlines stopover Istanbul
Why going to jacket store if u r just spending $20😀
Hey man .
You see the small purses are cheap you bought them at higher price in the grand bazaar. The donut 🍩 looks delicious.I like the toast with salami and pickles.but in general I never buy anything from grand bazaar. Prices there are tripled.but I think because no tourists you are really getting good prices. Apple tea 🍵 is nice. Oh for the shisha. Really the best ones in the world and I am an expert on them . I tried it in ten different countries but in Istanbul and Antalya are the best. Last restaurant is expensive should be like 50tl.
thank you so much for all of that! The apple tea was sooo dang good! I hope you have a great weekend!
@@Travelwithchris thanks man . You too have a nice weekend. Waiting for your next vlog .
you're expert. wow, where are you from and do you living here?
@@TzanSahin not expert . I only love turkey . It's our history and tradition and capital .

I have 5 hr layover in istanbul😡. Can’t stay longer
nooo that's sooo short! Takes a good hour to get from the airport to the city! Hope you're able to see something bro!
VAMOS !!!!👍👍👍
thank you!
super inexpensive to travel in turkey
yes I agree!
Is it just me? I DON'T SEE ANY WOMAN IN THE GRAN BAZAAR
I saw 1 I think???
Yes I didn't see much either not sure if that is for a reason or not. I didn''t make that observation at first, but I seen many women that were tourists there just not locals. I think it may have to do with the fact that most locals won't buy anything from the bazaar and the vendors are usually men inside those shops. You see a lot more women at the other open air markets!

26 years old??? 😲😲😳😲😲
yes ahahah! DId i look older?
@@Travelwithchris you definitely DO NOT look like a 26 year old. That's for sure. But that's a good thing because you don't look older in a bad way. You just have a more mature look. You don't even behave like a typical 26 year old. I would have guessed round about 32 because you come across a lot more mature. You could easily date a 36 year old. Lucky you.
$20 is now 173 lira
wow crazy!
@@Travelwithchris their economy is doing terrible right now. I was in the airport last night at a lounge where the bartender told me he's making 1 Euro an hour.

If you're getting paid in dollars, the video is great, but if you're going to spend a month with the Turkish lira, it's a nightmare. The minimum wage in Turkey is 2,500 Turkish lira, and many people have to pay for rent, electricity, water, food, and children's education. 1 toast and Coke is 19 Turkish lira, as a joke, of course a tourist price, very expensive. A family of 4 people can't afford to drink only 1 bagel and 1 cup of tea every day and every meal, you know? Of course, not everyone is in such a difficult situation, but still it is very sad 😔 Ah, my beautiful and lonely country (Nuri Bilge Ceylan), you deserve much better. Anyway, I didn't mean to upset or criticize you, I just wanted to say what this video made me feel. I appreciate what you're doing, more publicity means more tourists and maybe a better economy, maybe.. Good luck to you and US 🙏🏻 Note: This is all with Yandex translation, sorry 😂
Ok, that's true. Let him have his fun 🤫👍🏻
Yes you're absolutely right! Keep in mind that my videos are targeted for those people visiting these places. As a foreigner it is still quite affordable !
Yes, thank you! Most of thhe places I visit in the world are suffering from economic problems and most locals are in fact struggling. When I say "inexpensive" I'm speaking for those who are potentially traveling here, not locals :)
