River Tees - High Force & Low Force

With an awe-inspiring 21-metre cascade , High Force waterfall is situated within the beautiful Upper Teesdale countryside in the North Pennines. Surrounded by a stunning upland landscape the area offers wide-open moors, flower-rich hay meadows, intimate woods, inky-black night skies, curious wildlife, fascinating industrial heritage nestled among the River Tees.
Low Force is an 18-foot (5.5m) high set of falls further downstream from High Force.
Low Force is also the site of the Wynch Bridge, completed in 1830
