It is so encouraging, and inspiring, to listen to his interviews. This one, I will definitely come back to when I need to be encouraged on my journey as an artist. Not to mention, it’s a great reminder of the GIFT it is to remain humble, and never forget to embrace every moment as it happens. What a gracious, and kind man. God bless you, sir.

I don't think he feels any negativity towards the song or the show at all; however, he's said in interviews that singing TIHYS was a bit hard for him because it hit so close to home. My personal belief is that he's stopped singing it so he has time for emotional healing before he sings it again.
