My only major gripe with Tactical is that the Bolter wiith Grenade Launcher uses the zoom button to send the big booms. As the third class I’m levelling up, I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve wasted those precious 40 Mike-Mikes because my dumbass muscle memory keeps wanting to squint at a cheeky Termagaunt throwing rocks at me from a ledge.
Having a toggle would be very nice. If you want more ammo economy, try the perk that restores ammo on majoris finishers. It gives you grenades as well.

@@JebblesJunior i dont even dislike it, but half the time when im playing im in melee, and after the 30 th mission it get repetitive, the other classes have at least 2 melee options
Whenever I play as tactical and no matter the team comp, I try to clean up any sniper units and also set up executions for the melee classes. The game plays so well when your damage dealers can just go ham without getting screwed over by ranged units and refill armor as much as they need to.
Tactical can deny calling reinforcements with the scan too. I also like the grenade launcher and it’s what I used through the majority of the campaign. I like being able to just exist and do a bit of everything. I normally just thin the herd and help my heavy get executions on the annoying big guys. Snipers and heavy make a great team up too.
Started with Bulwark, tactical is my 2nd build I'm working on rn. The guy I mostly play with was sniper and now is assault. One thing to note, I actually PARRY TOO SOON now. Like I tried to 1v1 a ravager and the little turd would start his attack chain with that long wind up animation. Bulwark has that half second block at the start of his parry with the shield added onto the parry so you gotta be fast to parry. But against some enemies I find I'm parrying too soon switching to tactical.

The game is so dam fun as it is and i can only see it becoming better once more fine tuning is done on the classes!
Ngl tactical is a lil boring because of how hard it fucks. Like the burst damage output is so insane and out of line with other classes it makes ruthless feel a bit trivial. No nerfs needed, but some buffs for other classes and a new difficulty tier is already needed.
All I ask for in return as a Tactical main is that yall let me cut loose with my heavy bolt rifle on the hordes, and leave the melta bombs and krak grenades to me. Lemme have some kills, and a cool +175% damage for 12 seconds on any majoris or higher enemy is all yours whenever I’ve got it. Scarab Occult Terminators with the Power Sword and Zoanthropes always take first priority, assuming no Terminus level enemies in the area. And woe betide any Terminus level shitbag if I’ve got either krak grenades or a melta bomb on me. That’s at least half its health, gone the moment I can get my auspex and explosives off. Recently I’ve been able to smash through the Hive Tyrant’s first phase before the auspex debuff runs out on him. Takes 10 seconds or less to force him into second phase on Substantial Threat level.
You know what i realized watching the footage of this video? Imagine yourself.. your character in a book of Warhammer 40K. "The mighty Marine Jebbles fell, and was surrounded by at least 30 enemies, clawing at his armors. Suddenly, he felt a hand searching for his. He took it and got pulled up. In this second, his natural reflexes let him reload his boltor-MP. he didnt even realize, he was surronouded by the fow with his brother at his side. His brother at his side... he knew he would overcome every- and andything. They started firing... and after 872 bullets... the battlefield went silent." - this game can be sooo damn epic, if you let the impression sink in. Great Video!
I also run Minotaur colors on my Tactical. Lore aside ("If they weren't such garbage the Ultramarines would've ended this damned war already") they also work well with the more ostentatious Ultramarine bits of armor given a shared inspiration in ancient Mediterranean stylings.
I literally couldn’t decide when I started in the early access so I just chose tactical. Learned I’m pretty damn good at melee now I’m an assault main. Also not me getting called out for taking a bong rip while taking a bong rip lol.
Tactical is my main and I have really enjoyed this class. Me & my brother are playing together, with him being a multi-melta built heavy. I pop an auspex and he just melts everything in sight. I favourite weapon so far has been the Heavy Bolt Rifle, because its basically a Bolter version of an LMG. I like its versitility as I can focus down the heads of elites, or go full auto on swarms as and when required. I do find the Plasmagun is far more effective at dealing with Chaos Marines, but its low ammo capacity and reserves makes it less viable. Melta is ok, but I don't see the need consider my brother's Multi-Melta is far more powerful and doesn't require reloads. I see your using the carbine, how's that when fully upgraded, I found the gun to be to low damage for my liking without emptying a magazine in to an enemy.
I don't see how you're succeeding your missions taking so much damage. I do that? I end up finding no stims and just go down to a simple pack of minors, even doing *exactly* what you're doing. It just doesn't work. Tips?
It’s very dependent on how I manage close quarters fights. If I have an option, I’ll always try to bait in parrying attacks. Mixing those with displacing heavy attacks to get gun strikes can usually maintain a bare minimum amount of armor to keep going. Fighting a majoris is very dependent on the faction. I try to prioritize them and I’ll often turn my camera so I can see what’s behind me. That way you can parry mid fight when minoris jump at you. Chaos is a bit of a pain because they teleport so you need to constantly close distance. I’ll be making a whole video on this soon.
