Tried Them. Great recipe! I do have a few observations. 1. Do not skip the Cinnamon powder, it adds a spicy taste which is necessary. 2. I used extra brown sugar about 40 Grams, as my bananas were not very sweet. 3. I used a spoon full of plain yogurt instead of buttermilk, worked for me, I used an extra egg to soften the muffins, I prefer the eggy flavor, it balances the wheat flour very well. I used honey and walnuts instead of Maple and Pecans works great. Thank you for a great recipe!!
Just made them!! I replaced the buttermilk with plain Greek yogurt and added blueberries but kept everything else the same and they are amazing!!! Moist and flavorful! Thank you so much!
Now I believe in rapid weight loss because I'm getting it. I found a great program to lose fat fast. I lost 21 pounds and my belly too. All this on this site here *TOP2DIET . COM* Whole Wheat Banana Muffins Recipe
I just made this recipe today and it came out perfect although i did not use buttermilk i used whole milk only but still yummy and super moist. Thank you
Just made these amazing muffins. Great recipe indeed!!! the only thing I added was blueberries because my husband loves blueberries in his muffins and corn bread. I gave him one right out of the oven and he loved it. I researched for two days before choosing your recipe, I made the right choice. Thank you so much Stephanie and I will be using Joy of baking for other recipes.
It was just so wonderful, the muffins. Thanks for the careful step by step instructions. It really helped. I substituted the milk for sour cream, the pecan for walnut, and added orange zest, and added blueberries, an overkill! Sheer heavens! Thank you Stephanie.
I have just come across your channel and I think I will stick with it. What makes it different is that you explain why you add certain ingredients, which makes it easier to understand the whole art of baking. Thank you - I feel I have learned a lot!
Totally loved it. my previous experiments always have gone waste. Either the cake is dense or it stays raw inside and burnt outside. This is the first time I baked something on my own and it turned out to be extremely good. Followed the recipe with few changes.. no maple syrup so added two spoons of sugar and little honey. Replaced buttermilk with 5 spoons of whisked plain yogurt. I am so happy I followed this recipe. Thank you so much.
seriously..your recipes never fail..be it brownie or muffin or upside down pineapple cake..everything goes so perfect with the perfect measurements you tell...thankyou so much for this..
Just made these for the second time, flawless recipe. My family I loves them. First time I didn't have pecans so I used chocolate chips. This time I divided the batch and made an assortment of either pecans, chocolate chips, shredded coconut or a touch of dried cranberries. And both times I used the buttermilk substitute (milk+lemon juice).
Hi Stephanie, i can tell you that any snack or dessert recipes made with bananas are delicious ! I love all of them. Your muffins sould taste really good. I will try them one day - soon - and let you know. Have a great week end ahead ! ♥
Ms.Stephanie, I tried this recipe and it came out so well. I had to use honey and we still like the taste. I don't know how it would be different to using maple syrup instead. Overall we're pleased with the results.
I made these at the weekend and they turned out great!! I added chocolate chips to half the batter so I had 6 muffins with chocolate chips and 6 without. They aren't too sweet and are lovely for breakfast or as a snack. I left out the cinnamon because I don't like the taste. Thanks Stephanie, brilliant recipe as always!!
A bit rich on the sugar side, but they look so good... and bananas, pecan nuts and whole wheat seems a good combination... would love them for breakfast right now! Thanks for sharing, Stephanie.... !
Stephanie, I love all your recipes and the clear instructions. What I also look forward to are the snippets of video with your beautiful dog. Many thanks, Maria from Sydney Australia.
Watching your cooking show is really relaxing and informative .I learn something new every time . I )do it with my 4 year old son , and he loves your baking , too . Will definitely try this with maple syrup. I live in Quebec in Canada and we produce maple syrup, glad you like it :)
Just finished baking them, in the oven right now 🤗 Divided the flour to half whole wheat and half oatmeal, had to adjust the wet ingredients too. They look good😎 Thx Stephanie😚, luv from Montreal ❤⚘
Great recipe, thanks🌸 I just replaced the buttermilk with greek yogurt, and used both honey and maple syrup. It’s going to be a good healthy addition to my daughter’s lunch box😊
I had misgivings before trying this 100% whole wheat flour recipe. Nevertheless, it turned out to be great! I followed the recipe to the letter except for half a cup of vanilla yogurt instead of buttermilk and 2 tbsp brown sugar. Thanks a lot for sharing!
I will definitely try this recipe of muffins as i have my leftover maple syrup I bought for pancake day, good way to use it up. Walnuts are my favourite but pecans seems like a good alternative to try as they have similar taste and texture.
Joy this is such a coincidence I have some ripe bananas ,got home then decide to check for your recipe and there you were with banana muffins so thankful I mix the batter right away so in the morning I can have banana muffins hope tell be as nice as yours😃 thanks again
I have tried it just now. as usual greate recipe! thank you Stepanie I will be lost without you :-) I skipped the sugar since my bananas were overripe and I must say that it worked perferctly! the only thing is that I think in ITaly we have smaller pan. How big is your pan? Wha'ts the size for each muffin? Thank you
I must give these a try they look great, I love the pumpkin dish in your rack behind you, every time I see it I wish I owned one , love your videos and Iv made quite a few of your bakes you make it very easy to follow your instructions and give suggested alternatives etc, thank you for all your videos and to you and your camera guy for taking the time to make and upload them X p.s those colours really suit you love your top
I'm from Germany and love your videos. My english is unfortunately quite bad. I use the Google translator and hope you understand me. Very great, I find that you indicate the weight of the ingredients and the temperature of the stove also in grams or degrees. Here in Germany we hardly use your cups. Most households use scales. I find you very sympathetic and am always curious about the end of your videos, where you walk this time with your dog. I also have a dog .... no Airedale Terrier .... my Oscar is a dachshund. He is usually also in the kitchen when I bake or cook. So, I hope the Google translator has now built no crap and translated everything correctly. And if not, the whole thing hopefully makes for a laugh, otherwise I would be embarrassed.
Yum great recipe made it today. However, I think you need to increase the maple syrup to 1/2 a cup or increase the brown sugar to 1 cup. They were not sweet enough. I also did 1 cup of wheat flour to 1 cup of all purpose flour I find this ratio in most recipes I make to give a better crumb when baking.
hello miss stephanie, im a newbie and discovered my love for baking by accident.. there's just one question that bothers me..can i use full cream sterlize milk for making buttermilk substitute? thank u (in advance to whoever answer my question..) with love from Philippines ☺😊💜
