ooooh good question! My immediate suggestion would be to beef up the yarn for the rainbow itself, so either go super sized with the yarn itself or hold several strands at once with a bigger crochet hook :-) Not sure you'll be able to get this applique itself 30" x 30" BUT it's worth a shot! @@HookedbyRobin Yeah after seeing your square I think I might try redoing mine. I'm pretty new to crocheting but for the square I used G/6-4.25mm hook and for the rainbow I used D/3-3.25mm hook. I had trouble finding a 4.0mm and 3.0mm hook at my local craft store.
