Crochet Unicorn Appliqué or Coaster

Hello, crocheters! I made a crochet unicorn tutorial that can be used as an applique or coaster.
You can add a border using single crochet.
Yarn - Alize Cotton Gold (Sport) , Alize Diva Silk Effect (Fingering)
Hook - 4mm and 2mm

I'm new to crocheting. I was curious how you wash them? Being that coffee stains, is there something to spray on the yarn to helps protect it? 🤔

Should've 12 DC on the first row if you'll be having 24DC on the 2nd row.. Quite confusing
