Just an update, for anyone that is planning to do this upgrade. I ordered and installed this kit part #67800367A, yes it is a different number but the only difference is mine is chrome not painted black. It appears Harley has made this a little easier now by grounding the passing lamp to the housing of the lamp which in turn grounds through the frame. I was not required to splice the ground of the lamp to the ground of the turn signal/run light which simplified it significantly.
Just had one of these roll into the shop. Couldn't see an issue with the wiring until I found your video and realised the switch hadn't been installed by whoever fitted the kit! Thanks for the vid, bud.
I also found a 9/16 Memphis Shade socket that has a cutout for the wiring just so you can adjust the lamp location. Found it on Amazon and will let you know how that works!
Thanks for the video, I just installed the bracket kit from Harley and a three set led light kit, on my 2020 Street Glide Special. Your video made it so easy to do, it took me the most time assembling the lights to the bracket, works and looks great.
essentially what you did with those black wires going into the cap was join the two light grounds, slipped over the but connector and then added in on the other side a pigtail....so 2 into 1 going out into the clip connector.
Are you aware most street glides have an aux switch in the dashboard under the ignition switch? Under the seat, in front of the battery is a 4 pronged Deutsch connector that is connected to the aux switch in the dash panel. This switch and connector can be used to operate after mkt passing lamps.
Great video I have a 2017 CVO street glide and just finished the assembly and I didn’t get to swap out signal led yet Does the sockets that come with the kit fit the stock led bulbs when I take them out ? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you
Thanks for the video, now that I have seen your video the instructions make sense. I have not done this yet and I have a question for you. Do you know if the black wire you splice into the other black is a ground? The reason I ask is, maybe a separate ground wire could be added and passed through where the connector comes out from the bike? I hate using butt connectors and clearly there is not much room for error when splicing. BTW, Good video and explanation. I may just pull off a turn signal and check this with an ohm meter.
Good day, did you choose the left switch or is that the side that has to be used, also does the ignition go back in by holding the pin on the bottom and turning to the right?
I went through the entire process and neither the lights nor turn signals are not working on my 2022 FLHXS. Switch lights up and the regular stock turn signals/running lights work fine when I reconnected them with the switch still installed. The switch on or off has no effect on regular stock turn signal/running lights. Any ideas? Thanks for the video. UPDATE: I realized that I had not advanced the ends of the wiring all the way into the 4 way socket housing. Working fine now. Thanks again!

Great video man. I’m installing after market passing lamps on my 2020 SGS but I’m wondering if I can use the Auxiliary switch I added instead of buying another switch just for the lamps. And, did you have to wire anything in to the 135B plug?
Oh its a simple job, but I bought after market Lectric brand, had to buy a pig tail harness, pay to have it all correctly connected, kit does not come a switch so I have to buy a switch "kit" at 140$ and all I need is the switch ??? DAM.
@@BeardedTeslaGuy Turns out I didn't have the LED lights plugged in correctly. Works great thanks to your video. I did solder the two black wires however.
Well done, great video. I realize your install was OEM parts with plug n play results, Hopefully you can help with a few questions. I have a 2014 SGS and I'd like to add the auxiliary light kit (aftermarket/amazon), HD cost is killing me. The set I'm looking at is ( ASIN : B07QX5MJB9 ) looking at the wiring I'm not sure which adapters I'd need. Turn signals have 3 wires and drive lights have a single wire coming out. Turn signals i assume would get their own 3 point connector and reattach to factory plug/harness. As for the two drive/spot lights, would they be spliced together and ran to the switch? or would there be adapters for that to connect to harness coming off switchpack? As for the switch, I have 3 dummies on left side dash, behind it the harness is plugged in. Would I be able to pop the dummie cover off the center and install the actual button/switch or does the whole switch assembly need to be replaced? I noticed with your assembly in the kit the switch was to the far left of the pack. Lastly, I've searched no no end for the independent aux light harness to run drive/spots on while in high beam w/headlamp and have not been able to find such an item compatible with the year vehicle. Could this be what many are saying by having the ECM Flashed? Any help here would be great.
Thank you for the video it help a lot 💯 . No cutting or butt connector plug and play I purchased kit #67800367A from the HD dealership $463.00 and Amazon LED 4.5” passing lights brand LX-LIGHT $38.99
Be careful with these cheap LED lights. They put out a lot of radio interference. I listen to a local radio station which usually has a very strong signal but once I installed the cheap Amazon headlight the signal went to hell. Light looks great for 1/10th the price but there is a difference.

Thank you so much.
So I was going to ask the same question why is it that Harley calls it out as a four-inch bulb but everybody else makes a 4 1/2. Are they the same? Harley is just measuring differently?
I watched your video. I appreciate it. Worked out well. I have noticed that the auxiliary lights only work when it’s in high beam. Is there something I did wrong? Thanks again for your help.
Did you order that part @ HD or ??
HD
what is amazon link for the bracket?
This is OEM
@@BeardedTeslaGuy thanks. I can't seem to find that on HD site. Do you mind posting the URL please?
The part number is in the title. Just google “Harley” and that part number. It’ll take you right there.
@@BeardedTeslaGuy Holy Smokes! HD is proud of their parts. Thanks buddy.
Got it from Harley today, I installed it, the blinkers work but the lamps don't, could it need to be flashed because of my thundermax tuner? Any troubleshooting advice ?
Not sure. Mine worked no issues
Do you have an aftermarket tuner ? The thundermax replaces the entire Harley ECM
Do you know if we can get the dash switch and the plugs anywhere else..I bought as after market kit
I don’t. You can talk to Harley and see if they can order just the switch.
Great vid. You lost me on the 2 black wire part ( where you say 1 must be cut). I wish you showed that whole process. The rest seems simple enough.
If you have the chrome lights there is no second black wire to connect.
Richard Mendez i have black
Great video man. I’m installing after market passing lamps on my 2020 SGS but I’m wondering if I can use the Auxiliary switch I added instead of buying another switch just for the lamps. And, did you have to wire anything in to the 135B plug?
Yes you can use a switch of your own instead
Why not just pull the wires back just enough to tighten.
Worked well for me.
Oh its a simple job, but I bought after market Lectric brand, had to buy a pig tail harness, pay to have it all correctly connected, kit does not come a switch so I have to buy a switch "kit" at 140$ and all I need is the switch ??? DAM.
Yep that’s why I got the OEM one
Thanks for the vid. Any indication what country this kit is made in? Taiwan?
China
I purchased an off brand but it did not come with a switch. Do I need a switch?
Yes
@@BeardedTeslaGuy what's the switch part number please....thanks
@@BeardedTeslaGuy Do you have the switch part number?
What is the part number of the fairing switch kit ?? Was there any wire splicing needed?
No splicing needed. I’m not sure the part number of the switch because it was included in the kit.
Bearded Tesla Guy Bearded Tesla Guy okay, So everything in this video was provided in the kit part number (67800366A) ??
Anthony Manfredini that is correct
My fog lights come on when I push the button, neither one of my running lights come on?
Sounds like a wiring issue
@@BeardedTeslaGuy Turns out I didn't have the LED lights plugged in correctly. Works great thanks to your video. I did solder the two black wires however.
Do they stay on for both low and high beam?
I don’t remember honestly
Nice job
Do you have the part number for the switch?
I don’t
What’s the name of the bulbs you bought on Amazon?
Don’t remember.
@@BeardedTeslaGuy what style will fit. Amazon has some many options. What will fit? Can you send me a link? Thanks
I went the OEM route just to be sure I wouldn't have this issue. I don't know what the wiring would be like with aftermarket at all.
That was a cool video .
perfect! thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video it help a lot 💯 . No cutting or butt connector plug and play I purchased kit #67800367A from the HD dealership $463.00 and Amazon LED 4.5” passing lights brand LX-LIGHT $38.99
Failure to explain why you have to tear all that apart to add a new switch panel "/
Thanks man.
Cheers
Good video, Thanks bro!
Glad you liked it!
Be careful with these cheap LED lights. They put out a lot of radio interference. I listen to a local radio station which usually has a very strong signal but once I installed the cheap Amazon headlight the signal went to hell.
Light looks great for 1/10th the price but there is a difference.
Just did this on my 2019 Street Glide CVO. Harley says this kit won't work for that model. Not true... works great. This video was invaluable... I have just one thing to add related to the pins that slip into the 4 pin connector. Be sure to view this video ruclips.net/video/ofDyI5IPu_E/видео.html on how to orient the pins in the connector or you will have hours of uwanted entertainment figuring out why your new lights are not working.... drove me nuts... LOL
