      @@TizzTv be realistic, he cared at the start of the tournament because he was pushing for an initiative in the second game but tbh speaking as a regular tournament goer myself, it is impossible to recover after 4 straight lossez

    Ding found all those moves over the board? WOW! Despite his slump he can calculate impressive variations. To me this suggests that if he had prepared for all his matches and also if he had not disappeared from the chess world prior to now then he quite possibly would have been the strongest or second or third strongest player in this tournament.

    I don't think Ding really wants to play in this tournament anymore, thus he did not push hard even in a winning position. If he is in the right state of mind, Fabi most probably won't stand a chance. The question is, when is the Ding that we know and love will go back to his former self? We want to see a Ding who pose problems to opponents, not a Ding who is already defeated even before a game started.

      Basically one player gets white pieces and some extra advantage of time like few mins and black has slightly less time but if the match gets drawn then it will be considered as a win to black....... that's all i know if somebody else knows more than please explain 👍🏻

      He’s still no. 2 on official rating list. 3rd on the live ratings but he’s more active than Hikaru and has a tournament later this month. He can easily gain back rating and surpass Hikaru again.

      @@safwansifat the rating list is irrelevant. The challenger of the world champion in the world championship match is world number two or if you consider Magnus as the world number one then Ding has the highest status after him.

    The caption World Champion is not apt , we all know who is the real champion😇 Magnus and that ding is champion just because magnus didn't go for it😜, that is due to sympathy shown by the goat to other chess GMs . So its bst if caption was just Ding Liren instead of World Champion , No offence🙃

    The whole premise of these videos is dishonest. The commentary isn't live, it's recorded after the game when it's very easy to be smart.
