Dr Who???
Doctor Who is a British science fiction television series that has captivated audiences since its debut on the BBC in 1963. Created by Sydney Newman, C. E. Webber, and Donald Wilson, the show follows the adventures of the Doctor, an enigmatic Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey. The Doctor travels through time and space in the TARDIS, a time-traveling spaceship cleverly disguised as a British police box. Alongside various companions, the Doctor battles enemies, saves civilizations, and helps those in need.
The iconic role of the Doctor was originally portrayed by William Hartnell, who established the character’s unique blend of wisdom, wit, and courage. Since then, many other actors have taken on the role, each bringing their own interpretation through the show's inventive regeneration concept. This allows the Doctor to transform into a new body when fatally injured, ensuring the series' continuity while keeping it fresh. As of 2024, Ncuti Gatwa stars as the Fifteenth Doctor, following David Tennant's return as the Fourteenth Doctor during the special 60th-anniversary celebrations.
These anniversary specials, written by Russell T Davies, aired in November 2023 and featured episodes directed by Rachel Talalay, Tom Kingsley, and Chanya Button. The specials saw the return of Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, along with guest stars Yasmin Finney, Bernard Cribbins, Jacqueline King, and Karl Collins. These episodes led into the fourteenth series, where Ncuti Gatwa fully stepped into the role of the Doctor.
Doctor Who is more than just a television show; it's a cultural phenomenon with a dedicated fanbase known as Whovians. The series has had a significant influence on British television and beyond, earning a spot in the Guinness World Records as the longest-running and most successful science fiction TV series. The show's broad appeal has spawned numerous spin-offs, including comic books, novels, audio dramas, and other TV series such as Torchwood, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Class, Tales of the TARDIS, and the upcoming The War Between the Land and the Sea.
After its original run from 1963 to 1989 and a revival attempt in 1996 with a television movie, Doctor Who was successfully relaunched in 2005 and continues to thrive. Now co-produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios, with co-funding by Disney, the series is filmed at Wolf Studios in Cardiff, marking the new era of this beloved show.
With its rich legacy and ongoing evolution, Doctor Who remains a cornerstone of science fiction television, inviting audiences old and new into its ever-expanding universe of adventure, heroism, and timeless storytelling.
I'm not even kidding when i say something like this has been my DREAM to have since i saw sanholo's ( less said about him the better now ) laser screwdriver replica. Nick and the team have done a fantastic job. One day I will be able to afford these things, for now it's motivation.
What happened to Sanholo?
@@Thepoliwhirl2001people purchased custom sonics from him, but never received them. He disappeared, so either something happened to him or he scammed his customers
I love your videos man, keep up the great work! Also, what a brilliant prop replica! I ordered mine and I am eagerly anticipating its arrival. A keeper for sure 😆.
Thanks man and thank you for watching! It's a beauty for sure, you'll love it honestly 😎
Your my new favorite doctor who reviewer.
You seem to be a good guy
Come back to watch your video as I’ve just ordered one upon hearing they were in stock, super excited! Your video is fantastic (as are all your others), really detailed, many thanks. 👍🙂👏
Ah nice one that’s brilliant! I hope you enjoy it man, it’s a real beauty! Thanks for watching 😎
Can't wait to get mine!
You’ll love it! 😉
@@SameSonicDifferentCase heaviest out of all the sonics?
@@DillonAverage98 Yeah definitely, although my Custom MK4 11th is made from Brass too and that is also pretty heavy, I’d say it’d be a close call between them. I might have to invest in some scales 🤣
6:28 have to say it's a shame there is that unused space under the activator switch due to the gold border frame around it not being more tight to the switch. Though if Nick made it that way I can only assume this is screen accurate... so can't complain! It's a beautiful piece nonetheless.
Still waiting for my number 82😋. For the money all I’d say is I wish they’d done more with the sfx because there are a few laser sound bites
If only they had used actual yellow LASER diodes…
Wish they added the sonic function
@@thereaperofthehiddenmist6914 Considering this is supposed to be a the Doctor Falls version it would’ve been nice to have seen those sounds
@@Robert10075 it would've especially since it seems to be a mix of the sonic and aging sounds rather unique
@@Robert10075 not only that but it's really expensive for 2 sounds 995 quid!
Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful work, and one of my favorites designs!!! This is so good it should have been a Doctor’s Sonic!!! Actually no reason it couldnt still be, or tweak the design (but only slightly because it is that good IMO! The tri emitters could change colors of course, but maybe even have individual colors as well (RGB “mixing” mode, LOL, when you need to do multiple things at the same time! :-) Really wish this one would have been an option as Universal Remote too. So hoping Wand Co will do another run of 10th Doctor Uni Remotes (eBay prices are crazy, $800 or more!) and always wanted more of course, especially a 4th Doctor version, a River Song version (clean like in the “Husbands of River Song” - that thing is bloody gorgeous when she opens it!). If they aren’t going to do any further runs, really hope another company can either license the design and even improve on the electronics (ie more than just 3 devices, but also USB and/or wireless link to a computer to do the programming, USB memory storage for files, maybe even someway to program cards and door coils/chips for opening doors - now that would be AMAZING and worth several hundred dollars (unlike the ridiculous prices on eBay fort used 10th Doctor Sonics!!!). A working Sonic is a dream of mine and countless other Sci Fi Fans and I do think there’s a market for such a high end collectibles *especially* if it has the aforementioned functions, how awesome would that be???
Can’t wait to get mine ❤
It's awesome man you'll love it, I've hardly put mine down! 😉
i had a dream about this last night now i really want one 😂
Looks really good went on to the site to see how much it was just saying I don’t think I’d be spending £1000 anytime soon
Can guarantee Votesaxon07 is jealous asf right now..
He can’t sign for his parcel atm
I hope the dude is crying in jail rn. No new shiny toys or episodes of the show for that little man.
I hope the next season of the show is good, merely out of the spite of knowing he'll hopefully never be able to watch it
@Xenocookiemorph wait what happened?
Edit: Jesus christ....
Looks beautiful! But is it always nearly £1000? £200 my budget want a nice Master Laser screwdriver for cosplay recommend anything cheaper?
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought it was pricy. It’s probably because it’s limited to 300.
Got mine today. Unfortunately had a piece came off by the button extension just by carefull extracting it from the box. It was quite loose in there.
your kidding- buying right now!
im so not gonna regret this for 400 quid
@@mrzone8190 Hah it’s a beauty for sure! Although the finale price is around £1200 🙃
My laser screw number 37!! But I haven't received it yet... ha ha..
Hopefully it'll have been sent out and you'll get it early next week 🤞
@@SameSonicDifferentCase yea I hope so too😎
@@Dac1915 I see Number 39 is listed on eBay at the moment so you'd think Number 37 would have been sent out as well. 🤘
Did you ever figure out if that selector at the bottom was the end cap unscrewing or if it actually rotates?
Yes the dial does rotate as long as the end brass section isn’t screwed in too tight 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCase that's glorious
🙌🏻❤🔥
Just got mine and the top barrel of the emitter is really loose it just opens when hung upside down. Is yours the same?
There's a magnet inside the emitter that keeps the barrels down when it's closed, it sounds like that magnet could be out of alignment? Best bet would be to message Rubbertoe on Instagram
@@SameSonicDifferentCase yeah it sucks but they don't ship it very well. The barrel is quite loose too unfortunately
@@youraveragedillon5958 Yeah the packaging on this feels quite cheap especially when compared to most of the other Rubbertoe packaging, if there was some more padding inside the tube it probably wouldn’t be as bad.
If it is just the magnet not being in the right alignment it should be a pretty simple fix.
Just unscrew the 3 grub screws on the emitter after that you can pull the barrel section of the emitter out and see if the magnet is aligned properly 😎
круто!
Anyone know the differences between the series 3 and 10 versions are there must be a minute but someone will know 😋
I think the props were the same, but in series 10 it didn’t shoot a laser like in series 3.
Plus I believe the sound effect changed a little bit.
The three prones that usually extend at the tip, when the full screwdriver extends, doesn't in The Doctor Falls. They stay locked in even when extended.
Not sure whether it's the same prop however
