    ERP trained therapists live 1300 km away from home. But OCD boxed me in and I don´t leave my city. The anxiety attacks are so intense when packing my luggage and checking stuff endlessly before leaving home that I get stuck and then miss planes, trains, etc. Then travelling is a torture I don´t want to go through again 😪

    The example you gave for contamination ocd made sense. Like i always keep hearing people say that ocd themes don't have any rational base but in my case i always found that it had n that really made me think if it's at all ocd coz i know people often touch the bathroom switch with dirty hands and so whenver i use the switch, i wash my hands once (this is after i got better from the severe form) and that made me think if it's ocd or just normal hygiene. But i can't not wash my hands after touchg the switch or door handles coz i know people at my hime aren't as hygiene as I'm. I didn't even notice that until i studied microbiology.

      Your 🧠 currently sees the switch in an exaggerated way, exposure brings that down to the way you were before, it’s just currently jacked up. It isn’t as scary as you imagine but feels it in the now.

    Has anyone had fears about eye floaters.

      What's your worst case scenario here?

    • @annecampbell2891
      @annecampbell2891 2 года назад

      @@mominmasood just found your reply now. My worst scenario is that at 69 and like this since childhood i am too far gone to get over this. I dont like me. They told me at school i was worthless. so did other people. The floaters are there sometimes and not at other times. my ocd also is blinking too much and too much saliva also. I wish God would take me home.
