I really wish you could buy Lowrey organs here in Australia. They were here in the 70's and 80's but disappeared by the mid 80's never to be seen again.
thanks Tom - I enjoyed this so very much !!! I had a Lowrey Citation Theater Organ - I enjoyed it very much in the 80's !!! I am glad they are still in business !!! FANTASTIC !!!
Tom told me in a live video that Lowerys are no longer being made. =( I grew up with my grandpa's MX1 and he had an MX2 but very briefly...they both don't work anymore.
Thanks Tom for that fabulous demo of the Liberty Plus. Trevor, in one of his intros, described you as one of the best organists in the UK. I would certainly agree with that, Trevor is certainly no slouch either. Sadly my favourite organist ever is Robert Wolfe so, for Allen’s Music Centre having the 2nd and 3rd best organists in the UK can’t be seen as being too shabby. Love your videos. Keep em coming and love to Lucy ❤️
I enjoyed your performance on A crazy little thing called love. Well done. They are lovely organs but they are really so heavy you must leave them in the home unless you have roller caries to help you move it with another man for 2 manpower. That is why I went to a Genos2. I used to carry 2 manual organs to all of my gigs and it was a job to get them upstairs. Thanks for the lovely demo I agree they are gorgeous.
So, great demo as far as the songs chosen for each registration. I've sold organs back in the late 80's-early 90's and the one thing I still don't like about Lowrey is the lack of bits being played at the same time. If you noticed, which I'm sure you did, the rhythm accompaniment section has a delay in the beat. Too much going on with arrangements creates a lag and seems to go off rhythm. Makes a live performance sound too... help me out here... not too live performance? But play this machine manually with foot pedals, chords and organ (no automatic arrangements) and it's, if not, the best in the industry.
I just learned that this type of organ was used on the intro of The Beatles “Strawberry Fields” song. Very interesting Organ almost looks like a control deck for a spaceship lol I would love to get the chance to play one.
Nice looking wood case. I worked at Bergsma Furniture in Grand Rapids, Mi and seen may different organs, as they made the cases for Lowrey. The biggest one I seen at that time was the MX-1 Lowery organ. They did demonstrate it at xmas for us 1 year. That was neat. I wonder where this case was made? Not made in GR, as the MX-1 was the last big organ they done.
One song I was curious to what’s being played is the circus like music in the ending of The Doors “Alabama Song” cover? I think it’s a clavichord but I’m not positive, I think that was also used on the song “Those Were The Days” really gives off an old school gypsy, European vibe which I love!
hi there I am a theatre organist and would like to buy one of these top of the line lowerys how much are they and where can I buy one ... I am in Toronto Canada and would like to purchase a brand new one ..... money is not a problem looking forward to hearing from you
As I remember 50,000 $. But we may not ignore how much expensive furniture is in this instrument. When you buy a Yamaha Arranger piano, it is 3 to 4 times of a comparable keyboard, because the furniture part. Also a Lowrey will be produced in less quantities, so the development afford per instrument is way higher. Usually, digital organs struggle to offer the sounds from the analog times, Lowrey offers everything you could have liked about vintage Lowreys.
I'm an analog organ player/ collector. Will the Lowrey Stardust someone is basically giving me be pleasing to my ear? I recall playing an Allen organ once that I just couldn't take the lack of depth of the voices. Albeit it was an early 1980's Allen. It was at a church so the room was not a detriment. That experience shied me away from digital. Oh' btw the person that I'm getting the Stardust from is throwing in a massive amount of the white Lowrey binders with ?? I'm assuming instruction? Can someone tell me what that might be?
i found a organ for free .someone put it in the trash so i saved it and i love it

Yes. I remember seeing some Lowrey's in some nice houses here in the 70's and early 80's. Had to make do with a low end Hammond back then.
My father bought me a Gac, then a brand new Symphonic Holiday (a long time ago) I’ve always loved lowery.

Outside of a pipe organ, this is one of my favorites.

After 10 minute Point those Scott voices recall memories of alvino Ray and stringy the talking guitar.

Well performed.
If I could afford it, I'd buy this beauty.
Hello, thanks for this good video,
see you later, my friend, have a nice day🌺🌺
HI REALLY WONDERFULL INSTRUMENT .
Fantastic instrument and sound awsome. At the mo I play my orla GT9000…which is great too.
Thanks Gary - if you ever fancy upgrading to a Lowrey model, we offer generous part exchanges on other makes and model like your Orla :)
I wish you had a video featuring the Performer.

Hi I would love one of these prestige organs. I had a holiday years ago. Maybe you could ring them on the number advertised. 👍
They can ship them to you.

But Lowrey isn't manufactured or sold in America anymore. Is it only sold in Europe and did the company relocate to Europe??
How were you able to record directly from the touchscreen? Are there outputs on the back panel?

This dude just played two keyboards with one hand while checking his notifications. 12:05
