Nintendo devices have a timelessness about them. My roommates and I had great nights playing the Wii together 15 years after the thing came out. I don't love how everything is still full priced 7 years later but sorta makes sense i guess
@@ChronarAutomaton i’ve not got one but from all the videos I’ve watched to make a decision I’d say no. If you want a nintendo device wait until 2025 until the new one comes out because it should be better and you’ll have more options for games. Bear in mind that it’s only rumoured to release early next year, it might be later.
@ChronarAutomaton I own a Nintendo switch Oled. My personal opinion I don't think it's worth the price and Performance. You can buy a xbox series S for less and get better performance. Also Nintendos only good games are there first party titles which are overpriced at 59.99. So not worth it
Thinking about getting one to play the Mario games with the fam, but if I can somehow play this on my computer, that’ll be awesome. I just don’t know how to do that kind of stuff.

Ive been bored of gaming a while now and i focused on my studies, now that im done with exams and i 99.9% have gotten into my dream uni. I have nothing to do now and i never had a nintendo and even if im planning on getting a pc, nintendo games seem more laid back and comfortable and not focused on the competitive aspect (what i think has made me bored of games) , is a switch gonna hook me into gaming again? Animal crossing looks quite interesting to me too
depends, if you wanna play games everywhere then switch is the best option. If you want better performance then Playstation 5 or Xbox series X/S. if your an introvert then buy the more performance consoles mentioned above bit if your an extrovert then switch is your go when going everywhere you wanna go
Maybe not worth it to pick up brand new at full price right now, but if you can get a good deal for it then it’s worth it. In my case, here in my country the Philippines, I was able to get a brand new Switch OLED for only around $237, down from its $350. That’s a really good price and the best part is it’s a permanent price reduction. The standard Switch and the Switch Lite also saw a huge permanent price cut. Plus, I remember seeing somewhere that Nintendo will continue to support and release games for the Switch for a year or two after the successor releases. So yes definitely worth it if you can get it for a good deal, especially with its amazing library of first party and third party games
The Switch has a big problem which seems to be overlooked / overcooked. Even with my new Switch OLED, it lacks USB battery bypass! So when using the dock to play on the TV, the console overheats as it is charging permanently, thus destroying the battery life. Same when using it as a handheld, overheats when plugged in. My Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra even has USB battery bypass specially when gaming like when I play Fortnite, the charger powers up my phone, bypassing the battery. Thank you for another great video Rox💫🇬🇧
I have switch Oled and switch lite but at this moment I am loving playing my old Ps vita 2000 Metallic Red and I have Aqua Blue Ps vita 2000 they are absolutely Gorgeous looks better than my Switch lite
Yes , I have just bought one and its brilliant, it has the best game of any system, you can just switch on and play, Graphics and power do not always make a good game, although the graphics on this console are really amazing. People are too bothered about a new one coming out and will wait a year when this is so brilliant,
@@LuckyLefty993 I love mine, the size is comparable to that of the Switch Lite way way more compact and comfortable than the huuuugeness of the Steam Deck.

The Nintendo Switch is criminally overpriced given how long its been out and how relatively underpowered it is.
Because it is Nintendo's latest console.
Completely agree, i’ve seen some go for the same price as an Xbox Series S. It’s ridiculously overpriced.

I'm sure is more worth it in 2024 than in 2017, basically because right now you have tons of games you didn't have 7 years ago.
Yes but the switch 2 has backward compatibility so it's better to wait

Nice video! I think that the switch 1 is the regular switch and the oled is the newer version.
Get a steam deck and emulate, then you have all the systems in one instead of just Nintendo (who I’m done supporting anyway)
currently not
Nah I'll just use my SteamDeck to... play Steam games since that's literally what it's built for.

No need to watch the whole video. Quick and short answer is Yes, it still worth it.
Just buy the Nintendo switch lite, it has barely any difference besides fps(which is still ass on the normal version) and detachable controllers.
If the games aren't backwards compatible then the Switch will live forever until someone develops an emulator.
It depends there is no yes or no one fits all answer
I think people should take a second look at the Wii U again in 2024.
They should have a complete nes and snes game library when the switch 2 comes out... i doubt that will happen
cuz my parents are not getting me a ps5 with ps portal its my dream
Ngl ps portal is waste of money
