With their QUEENDDOM comeback, Red Velvet accomplished something that only a handful of Kpop girl-groups have ever done.
They beat the "7 year curse."
RV is officially Kpop royalty now.
And if you think their title tracks are great, just wait until you get into their B-sides. Korean netizens recently voted RV as the group with the overall best discography in Kpop.

I'm crying laughing at you excited to listen to Zimzalabim after hearing just the bridge, you are in for such a shock! Someday you have to check out Seulgi's duet mv with Moonbyul "Selfish", and "Wow Thing" with (G)I-dle's Soyeon, Gfriend's SinB and IOI/soloist Chungha, both incredible releases. Wendy is one of the handful of idols who always comes up in debates over the best vocalist in kpop (which made her injury all the more devastating as it included a cheekbone fracture which can affect your voice) Joy has my favourite vocal tone in RV, so soothing, her recent solo album was a breath of fresh air. You got all of their names right! Joy is only 5'6" haha, it's just that the rest of RV are tiny, must be one of the shortest groups in kpop

There's a reason Wendy's the "finest vocalist" of her gen. Every time you say "those vocals, who is that?" in your reactions, it's 90% of the time Wendy haha. Looking forward to more RV reactions

Edit: Also, for getting to know the members the Bubbleflex "Red Velvet: A mess" series is very recommended for getting to know them and their humors (it was featured in this video as well with some clips), the early episodes are a bit slow and confusing but its really funny once you get into it.

The guide didn't go into their sub-unit and solos. Irene and Seulgi got their own sub-unit in 2020 and made quite the splash with Monster and especially their promoted b-side Naughty (that song has the crazy hand choreo you pointed out!), while Wendy and Joy debuted as soloists in the first half of this year. All three title tracks/albums are amazing, so hopefully you can check them out as well when you're all caught up with the group MVs x) And yeah, a guide is always just the beginning. You learn the members the best with watching random/funny content, it's also the best way to connect to them. Red Velvet is one of the groups, where it's hard to pick a bias, but Joy stole my heart before I even knew Red Velvet (I watched her first drama!) and four years later she's still my number one :D
If you really want to know how chaotic they are , there's a channel called Bubbleflexe that made a 'Red Velvet A Mess' series .

alot of people will recommend this "a mess" series and i do agree these will be fun but i feel like they dont fully show theyre personalities until around number 14 so it would be good to do at some point but i do recommend other videos like any funny moments or seulbearish videos

I was at the show where Seulgi lost her hair extension. It was during their show at NJPAC in Newark, NJ during their 2019 tour of North America.

@@rjkpop To be honest, I was too far away from the stage to see anything like that. I only realized I was at the show where that happened when someone else mentioned it. I pretty much in the very last row of the orchestra section, just in front of the sound booth.

Each member has their own MV, accompanying it with a b-side and era. It also acts as a recap of what Red Velvet has done since their debut. Might be a good thing to watch!
