To be entirely fair, he dedicates roughly half the time he doesn't spend kicking ass and making wine to trash talking the Knights of Favonius, who are basically Klee's family and have shown her nothing but love.
I doubt she knows the history there, so from her perspective hes just some grumpy guy whose always saying bad things about the people she adores and admires.
That... makes a lot of sense.

@@9thrat I mean she hasn’t caused anymore property damage then setting the mountain on fire and blowing up local wildlife (fish) which she then eats, she’s not doing it for sport or anything. Aside from that she’s only attacked monsters and Hilichurls. Jean actually seems to be much stricter with her then her Mother clearly was.
