Dear Tech Insider, don't listen to the other comments. There are plenty of places where people use Skype still, it's just on in the middle of the US. Those who have commented are not "international" enough. So this is good because when someone from the US who knows nothing about Skype is asked to connect by Skype they have a good guide. I lost my skype account when i installed Microsoft office & after installation I am have been logged out due to security reasons and to login back I have to verify my e-mail first but due to some typo error e-mail address that i had given is wrong and they are sending code on that email address asking to verify first which I cannot do as email address is wrong. How can i recover it ?

@@julianbrionesiii2438 it all depends upon the 'status' that a person chooses...ie. if you choose invisible then others will not be alerted when you go online. But YES others can be alerted ! Each person can set things up to be alerted within their own settings.

@@hahaitsme The reason is because zoom and discord dont require you to pay unlike skype. Back when I used skype I had to pay monthly, but maybe not anymore in these times. Times have changed.
@@hahaitsme Oh, really? I must not use zoom that long for it to end automatically. Im so sorry to hear that! Discord is a great app to hangout with other people, with no charges at all. The only thing Discord charges for is to upgrade to a premium service called Nitro, where you can post better quality pictures and some other features I forgot about.
what is very annoying to me is this...when I see that a person has left a NEW message which is indicated by a number adjacent to the chat icon ...then I must scroll, scroll, and it takes me 20 seconds to find their name. I have thousands of names to scroll through ...I'm a busy boy...haha! I just wish that accessing NEW messages would be to click the chat icon ONCE then those new message(s) would appear together.

Skype is FREE when both parties are using it. Also Skype desktop and/or cell phone App to cell phones are free with the Skype application installed on the phone!...I hope this helps!
@insider tech My phone was out of power when I woke. After it was charged and I turned it back on, my Skype (Iphone) showed a missed call. The MN (Meeting Now) was the one used by a former job interviewer. Does it mean that the interviewer made a mistake on calling me? Or did he or she intentionally called me on my identifiable Skype account? I wonder if I should message the company interviewer. I don't want to look desperate, lol. Thank you!
