Stuck in the lunchroom of a job I hate right now. Almost done with paying off my debts, already got my motorbike kitted out, will be travelling around Australia very very casually. So looking forward to experiencing a bit of freedom
Very cool encounter, glad you made it out safely. By the way, do you have an email or some other way we can contact you? I'd love to learn more about your lifestyle!
I got licked by a coyote this summer. In the back yard in a lounge chair with my arms up and the guy sneaks up on me in my blind spot and licks me on the elbow. I've got wild dog frens.
It usually always depends but I seem to keep it around a couple hundred bucks a year since I've kept my caches on constant rotation and forage/garden/can 👊🏻 and I work a few times a year, only a couple days each unless something breaks or the rare occasions I gotta work for the train/bus fares to visit my hometown 🌲
Hey Forest Anon i was wondering how much time did it took you to build your place, like how many days/weeks ? Btw when i say "your place" i mean just the cabin not necessarily your plantation etc...
I think a couple weeks if I remember correctly! I could have gotten it done sooner but the ground was frozen and I had to walk far to find good felled trees and shed limbs 🏚
@@ForestAnon Thank you for your response that's awesome ! This information was important to me, in facts i actually want to live in the forest. It's impossible for me to imagine a life where all i can do is to pay taxes and be dependent of the capitalism. This kind of life almost made me off myself... But concidering a life like this where i can be self dependent, wake up almost everyday with a smile on my face and realise the real importance of life in general just make me happier than anything. You're kind of an exemple/ an inspiration on this tbh. So the time to build a cabin like you did was a really important information to me. So yeah thank you for responding, hope your doing okay, and wish you the best. God bless you !!
Nothing too spooky out here but there have been a few times I've spooked myself haha! When I lived in the desert I had some pretty spooky encounters 🌵 Had some when I lived in my hometown as well. But nothing out here so far that couldn't be explained at least 🌲
Thanks man! I get water from the stream that's 300 meters below the cabin and I take my noon bath there as well (downstream of course hahah) and I take a birdbath out of my bucket at night before bed. But in winter I only take birdbaths 🌲
When I was younger my head was on a swivel at all times because I was so scared! We often hear about how predators and such are timid creatures, but I never really believed it when I was little until the first few encounters. Now I finally realize they really are just as afraid of humans - if not more. But my adrenaline still races, I just try not to show it and I definitely don't crouch in one place for too long anymore hahah 🐾
@@chagoman7958 I'm on federal land I'm already breaking enough laws as it is haha! Then I'd have to worry abut the DEA, and I'm tired of dealing with the three-letter goons 👊🏻
Since your way out in the woods, how do you get to Church? Or rather how do you fulfill your Sunday obligation or fulfill your obligation on Holy days like today?
The fact you stay as calm as you do around bears and bobcats is crazy 🙌🏻
I wish I had the balls to live out there. maybe someday.
Same, man. Same.
Only thing I would fear is park rangers. Nature provides but the gov't just takes and takes some more.
What a beautiful creature. And amazing how quiet big cats can stalk prey, you must have been really alert on your senses to catch him!
Best and realest guy on social media 🤙
Nice video dude, don't let the bobcats bite
Always a good day when you upload

Such a beautiful creature, such a scary situation

Just out of curiosity, but, any spooky stories to share so far during your time there in the forest?

I don't partner! I'll let God judge me on that one.
