I've listened to and loved this version of Wire's song for 25 years. Today I learned it has a video and I thank you Dave from the bottom of my heart for posting this.

This is a magical video. It really gives you an idea of the whole DIY spirit that powered the great punk revolution.

fIREHOSE has almost as much of an important part of my late teens/early 20s as the Minutemen do. That being said, Live Totem Pole is the fucking shit.

When Ed from Ohio took over from Mike Watt, I didn't give him much credit because of . . . D. Boon. But seeing this video, hey the kid was alright. But It's impossible to replace a legend. Thanks for this. I'll reappraise and take fIREHOSE for what they were . .. great band.

Dude this is f*#king awesome! I never knew that there was any film footage shot from those shows. Live Totem Pole has been a staple in my collection since '92. And bands I've played in cover the covers (and do 'em the fIREHOSE way!)
    Great upload...
I'm uploading the whole EP cause there's a couple tracks I still don't see on RUclips.

You know, I don't think that's from the actual concert night. I was there on both nights, and I think this is some other performance.

I was very lucky to buy an original copy of the EP Cd, when it come in Aus. It took months of effort to track one down, eventually got it in Gaslight in Melbourne...
Rip Gaslight store. Bought a couple of Praxis CD's as well.

I was at the actual concert where this song was recorded -- north hollywood in august 1991. I wish they would have recorded that one, because I would have been moshing in the front. Oh well.

@@davemarkey I was struggling to figure out where this was filmed because it looked totally familiar...sweet baby jesus did Baba ever get us DRUNK when we played the Shamrock in '90...you don't find much footage of bands playing there (The Muffs, if memory serves). I know it was in operation as a bar going waaaaay back, but was it only booking "punk/alt" live shows for a brief time in 90-91? Cheers Dave

Yep I was there too at the Palomino, and this was not the Palomino. I can be heard screaming for a moment on What Gets Heard on the Totem EP. I'm famous.
