It's getting to the end of the tunnle. You can probably flatten the sides and sole with a fly cutter on you mill instead of endmills. Great progress nonetheless.
I really like the method you used to seat the inserts in the infill too. I think I had only ever Mike Farrington do that; maybe I’m misremembering who though.
you clearly demonstrate how much skill (and time) is required to make a plane like this. Will you be attaching wood to the blade like the Bowery piano plane makers?
